9 Weeks out....

Looks good to me for 9 weeks
 
first off i applaud your balls for getting up there on stage. that takes a LOT of courage.

i'm not going to comment on your conditioning other than to say i think you could be leaner at this point.

you have a pretty wide waist- you are going to need to put on a good deal of size in your legs, lats, and shoulder girdle to create the image of an x frame.

your biceps lack peak and you triceps lack fullness (or roundness) when holding the front double bi.

your lats look to have good lower development though from what i can see.

i think you just need overall size for your frame. [more muscle]

either way this will be a hell of a learning experience, and like i said you are to be commended for having the balls to get up there period. best of luck!
 
Im 23 216lbs, had just got off the tredmill in the am after 3 days no carbs. Ive been lifting for just over 2 years, im tryin to post another one but its not working to well.
 
K coming your way for having the balls to post pics and do a show, for only 2 years of training you're looking a lot better than I did back then :) I agree, you look like you'll make it to the show pretty much on target, could be leaner but it's your first show. And for the future, you will just need more mass to fill out that frame. You seem to have a larger frame. I have a pretty small frame, and small joints, so at 6 inches shorter and 40lbs lighter than you I look a good bit bigger. Once you fill it all out though, you'll probably dwarf a guy like me :) Good luck bro!
 
9 weeks out, 215lbs, I'd guess around 10-12%bf...to come in around 3-4%, I'd estimate your contest weight to be around 195-196 if my math is good. That gives you about a 2lb loss per week, although it should be more because you should be done cutting bf prior to last week. I would keep some carbs coming in, mostly fibrous, and crank up the cardio. If you've done your homework, you'll be very surprised about how things will tighten up and come together the last week after water depletion and carb load..GOOD LUCK!!
 
That was my only question BORG...(if you had someone knowledgable there to let ya know and you do.....)

BRO, you are 100% fine!!! 9 weeks is a TON of time.... It will come together nice--YOU DO NOT WANT TO PEAK TOO EARLY--You have a great helper there to guide you!!!!.......and your legs are definitely going to be plenty big enough...not a problem there like the other poster above states..... I am sure in another month to 6 weeks, if you arent getting lean enough (which I think you will)---your buddy will simply bump up your cardio to 2 - 1 hour sessions per day, everyday of course......I'm sure your diet is all chicken, tuna, egg whites, baked potatos, brown rice, simple veggies, mustard, pickles, tons of Water, etc....(taste gets super bland and old real quick).....try cutting up the potatos into tiny strips and baking them in the oven (like fries).....also, it doesnt hurt much at all, if you are dying to put a piece of cake in your mouth, chew it up and spit it out too!!!!! Oh, another question was, to me it looks like you are going to be on the border between two divisions, what are you aiming for??? Not light heavy are ya, you are going to go down to the high 180's I bet......How many weeks did you do for this show (14 weeks???) You will lose at least 40 pounds....way more than 2 per week.....This isn't a normal diet that people do, this is the strictist, most disciplined, high protein, no fat, no bread, no pasta, no sugar, no nothing DIET that you can do and the weight will PEEL off while gaining lean muscle!!!!!

My god do I know you? You just nailed the shit out of all of it, the only thing i dont eat is the pickles, haha. I havent had cake or sweets since I began working out so thats never really been a problem for me. I crave the simple things like rasins and milk. He bumped me to 2 45min sessions yesterday so I hope ill be seein the diff next mon. I was wanting to come in around 198 or below, since thats where light heavy stops, 198. he is making me eat 96% lean red meat by the pound though, which I dont even do off season, but im listning to him. I also have high fat days here and there aswell. Also yes 14 weeks lol.i try and have 2 or 3 low carb days 2 moderate and one high. This method seems to be working for me. Thanks for all the help WILL BE you are obviously no stranger to the game.

After seeing that last pic in your post, I'd guess you are borderline ready to peak early, NOT LATE!!!.... Your abs are already starting to come in and 9 weeks, you are ahead of the game.....Your buddy knows what he is doing, just listen to him.....If you were ever getting closer to your date, he WILL adjust---do NOT worry----he will ramp up your cardio, he will trim your diet, he will probably even eliminate the use of toothpaste during the last week or so (sodium, etc), then give you a big fat brownie right before you walk on stage and POW!!!!!!!!====your veins will pop out like crazy---very vascular-----(but again, I don't think you have anything to worry about, except maybe after all that work, you are going to put on 30+ pounds in one week after the show and still have orange hands from your artificial Tanner)

Good Luck bro, keep that discipline high...its tough but you can conquer....one easy day at a time!!!!!

bringing in prop and wintrol at around 4 weeks out keeping the parabolin and dropping the test blends, possibly adding masteron
I seriously feel dead ass tired right now I was really contemplating a feeding frenzy but came downstairs and stripped my shirt off and decided not too after I saw how good I was looking. Went 300 carbs thurs 150 fri 100 sat and today zero, I'll probably hit 200 tomarrow and will snap some poses after am cardio. Thanks for all the great posts! No pics today I am to tired to pose and knowone is here anyway.
 
We are doing the same show! I have one before that one though. We won't be in the same weight class though. I am 230 at about 6-7% right now. You have plenty of time at 9 weeks out. If you have any questions about prep PM me, I would be glad to help.
 
Well just had one hell of a cheat meal.... You dont even wanna know. I feel a lot better though. Might hate myself in the mornin though....

Thanks bro, I appreciate the love. The Missouri is a tough show, I will be thrilled if I place. Last year there were 12 guys in my class, I should have placed 5th and didn't. I hope to be about 217'ish on stage. He is right about you just waking up one morning and realizing that you are there. It's crazy how much your body changes the last few weeks.
 
Thanks guys! No disrespect intended. Gary got 2nd in the overall last year. Hi is 41 5'8'' and 240 right now. Looks like he could walk on stage tomarrow. As far as I am concerned. I met with my trainer today and he said to hit cardio 7 days now and to cut back the red meat to just after I workout. He also said dont carbload yet and just keep it at 400/day on workout days and 150-200 on non workout days. He said its crunch time. I am also doing the Caveman Classis on the 30th as kind of a trial run. He wasts me to come in around 180! But said ill lose like 12lbs of water so it wount be all fat. Supprisingly enough im adding d-bol at 25mg a day for now, he also said if I feel that I can do an hour on the treadmill to do it, but if I get tired to stop. Mainly he said just to play around with all of it and find my nitch. I did feel great today thats for sure. Was hittin the 130 dumbells on incline like they were light. I felt great just looked bloated as f. I was fat my whole life up until 3 years ago when I lost almost 100 pounds so there seems to be some stubborn fat. Thats all for now. Once that cheat meal works off mabey I'll be brave enough to repost some pics. My digital camera is broke aswell so I'll have to sneak my moms out. Lol.By the way will be is that you in your avatar?

I remember a kid named Cory (must have got 3rd in the overall) and the overall winner whose first name was Vladimir, he was a few weeks out of junior nationals I believe. I may remember who you are talking about. Did Gary do the novice and the open? I think it's the same guy I'm thinking of. He looked f'in great.

See, I told ya...If you look at page 1 of this thread and read my first or second post to you, I told you that you would be in the 180's and don't worry about the fat....(I guess I also said you'd be doing 7 days of cardio too)........(Oh, that avatar, I can neither deny nor confirm, but I did try to erase the face and that pic is pretty damn old.......)
 
Took the dbol like he said and my lord, the pumps in my calves we vicious. I could barely walk on the damned tredmill. Also my stomach is so uncomfortable and bloated. I mean its horrendous, but i think it the fact that I have to take so many carbs preworkouts what is doing it. 400 carbs in a five hour window is one hell of a task to begin with, especially when its all oats, and sweet potatos. Just wondering if there was anything out there to improve digestion and lessen the killer gas??? Thanks

I think you will make it just fine...I myself will be competeing in about 15 weeks and if I looked as good as you do now you will have no problem at all.

I have still got a lot of work to do and am afraid I won't make it.

Lookin tough. Every time I see a pic like that it reminds me of how much more work I have to do. I dunno much about contest judging, but my 175lb. ass would definately get out of your way.

No shit... I just went 3 days 0 carbs 400g protein plus lifts and 2x a day cardio. I feel like death. I am pretending Friday is show day, and am carbing up to see when I will peak. I should have plenty of pics then and will be glad to post up. If thats what you were trying to do was loose then sweet. But if not then damn. Lol. What are you weighin?

That shit is rough man. People can't even begin to understand unless they have done it. You will feel better with a carb up. I didn't intend on losing that much, that shit isn't cool. I'm down to 225 now.
 

Well its the same senario as last time 3 days 0 carbs, pic taken after morning cardio. Exactly 2 weeks 2 days from last pics. I am debating osting pics of my entire carb up this week so you guys can be the judge of when I peak.

Honestly bro it's hard to tell how much a carb-up changes things unless you are very close to contest condition and somewhat dry. You can't tell if you spilled or nailed it unless you are already very lean.
 
Yea thats fine my trainer is doing a dry run carb up with a sodium and water load to see when I peak. I just really wanted to post up my new pics for all to see and criteque. I only have dial up so when it loads the image is squed.

This shit is definitely an exacting science and an art at the same time. Your body changes every year, this means your body responds differently to your diet and everything else. I'm doing my own diet this year. I would rather fuck up and blame myself than follow someone elses instincts. Sounds like you have a knowledgeable dude helping you out though. Good luck with the carb up.
 
Im just glad its over. 36 hours with hardly any water sucked. but man the results were ausome. Someone please post these pics!

Me too I had never even imagined the water think to be that hard but. OMG it was pure hell. Hey Kurtz do you still take you suppliments on the day of the show such as caffeine multi's clen, anything really? Also do you tan or anything the day of?
 
I didn't think much about the water thing until I started it, I didn't even have a sip for 28 hours. It was murder. I use mad stimulants the day of the show, gotta get fired up!
