Brave men and women who must have looked up at burning towers and thought one thing. I must get in there and rescue people. Blows me away how at times many don't appreciate firemen and cops.

Truly sad. My brother is in the FDNY and he says the one thing most people dont realize that they will never forget is the smell.

I listen to those tapes last night, they are both horrible and amazing at the sametime. It is amazing to me that people will risk so much to save people they do not know. The stories of those firefighters and police , knowing one tower already fell and the one they were in about to go, but they still were concerned with helping people get out instead of saving themselves. It sort of started me on a hole rememberance, watched a couple of vids I had of the planes hitting, news coverage etc. Brought back a lot of feelings I would rather forget, but it is good we are reminded sometimes.
