"The crocodile was on the beach in front of the Petroleum Club, the Plage Sportive, in Pointe Noire, the Republic of the Congo. The animal measured 7 meters (21 feet) long, weighted 4,500 pounds and is believed to be 80 years old."

(Editor's Note: By comparison, last week's Uganda crocodile was 5 meters (16 feet) long and weighted 2,500 pounds.)
Congo-Brazzaville "scientists said he was looking to

eat humans because he was getting too old to catch animals. For some months past, in villages close to Pointe Noire, people were complaining that some people in their village had been disappearing. It could well be that this crocodile was responsible."

"The crocodile was killed by the army Sunday," March 13, 2005, "at 3 p.m. Currently he is in a freezer at the Hotel Azur. The contents of its stomach will be analyzed on Friday," March 18, 2005, "at 2 p.m." (See the African newspaper for March 14, 2005. Many thanks to Nancy Ruehl and Justin Sabiti for this newspaper article.)

WOW... I could kick his ass though. I'd punch him in the jaw and snack that twig of a neck he has

I read ,the thing about big crocs is you can kiil them but for some reason or another, they apparently snap back to life causing havoc & carnage to unsuspecting hunters!
Some require several rounds before they are completely finished.

Ha man.. Never dabbled in crocs before.. I had 3 pet alligators this past year, and took them to the Zoo because of relocation.. They were getting quite large though.. one at 4 ft, one at 3, and then a small 2 footer.. Awesome pets, as long as people don't go and put them in river's and ponds.. Luckily my buddy worked at the Col Zoo so I knew I had a place for them once they got too big.. that and Jack Hanna was a member of my fraternity way back when he went to college..

Yeah that was my plan for my one larger alligator.. Only I wanted some nice shoes and a belt.. But once I figured the fucker could use my arm for a light meal, I better give up hope.. I did have another that I sold to a friend, who is raising it on a farm, in controlled conditions.. I told him if he gets it big enough, I'll buy it back and use it for some good protein, and maybe, the shoes, belt, and matching wallet..

they normally kill crocs with copper/brass jacketed rounds about as thick as 12 guage shotgun shells. i dont know the calibre, but theyre big, big bullets.

Thats what i'm talking about, they will shoot for the brain however it doesn't alway kill or either the crocs instincts kick back in for it to finish killing!

thats an amazing thing .. so big but i bet slow well except in the water.. it would be cool to watch it fight off some other animals like a hippo

wow the amount of belts/wallets i could make out of him

but thats impressive for age mangs

...i think turtles live like to 150 years old (sea turtles)

ive seen a 27 ft croc while in fl (sorry to be a story topper LOL) but the thing name is/was gieco or gakko or something..well the place was near UF (gainsville) and it was a record croc @ 27 ft long

so big it looks dinosaur'd out
