Did anyone see the game? Did Cal deserve the MVP?

IMO he didn't even belong there in the 1st place ..... based on numbers.... but since the fans vote and it is a popularity contest not a talent contest oh well

But you have to admire a guy that gets a standing O....waves to the crowd..... then knocks the first pitch of his last All-Star Game out of the yard........ that is what makes a true Pro... rising to the occassion.

There have been many occasions where his numbers were way down and he still made the All-Star team. I think alot of it has to do with respect of the game and play off the field. The guy is a legend, he is admired on and off the field. Did he really deserve the MVP, not really, but then again who did in this game? Why not give it to the hero of tomorrow's youth!

I think Tommy Lasorda should have gotten the MVP for getting blasted in the chest with a broken bat.....I never laughed so hard in my life
