okay, i've decided to stop trying to cram every exercise i can into my workout, and just stick with the 5x5 and see what kind of gains i get there. this is a really stupid question, but on the off days, i'm still taking my whey protein shakes those days correct? i know it's a stupid question, but i just want to make sure i do everything i can to optimize what sounds to me like a really great program.
 
You're keeping yourself eating more calories than your body burns every day of the week, if protein shakes help u do that, cool, but they aren't necessary if you're eating more food.

Protein powder is nothing magic, it is dietary protein. You should ingest plenty of it on both training and 'off' days.......if you can get in your requirements through real food, even better, if shakes are convenient or the only way you can get in what you need, then they do the trick.

bIGGIE.......remeber back in school with the cafeteria plan and whateve....I never ever took one single shake until my senior year, late....and it was phosphgain II by eas with milk and icecream and some rice cakes.......and I was sooo solid.....

The cafeteria in college was great,.......just think back, man......you weren't fat then, it won't make you fat now......EAT UP.......I think college was the last time I remember EAS products tasting good too, lol
