5x5 - 7 days a week?

would it be too much for me to run 5x5 7 days a week for the next 4 weeks? i am doing nothing else all day (literally) because i don't need to work and my semester doesn't start again til Jan 12, and when the semester starts, i'm doing 4x a week. i'd have plenty of rest time really. i mean, honestly, all i do all day is take care of my 2 kids and mess around on the computer. i took the week off last week for finals, and jsut so happy to be lifting again this week. my diet is decent and i'm trying to bulk. the way it's split up, i don't think i'd be overtraining, but i'd like some outside advice.

thanks!

note, before this, i was lifting 5x a week, much higher volume than 5x5. i was on a constant 3 day rotation. day 1 chest/shoulders, day 2 back/arms, day 3 legs/abs. whatever day landed on friday, the next day would be done on monday. i did 4 sets of everything, pyramids. it was ultra high volume and a very intense workout, so this 5x5 is a lot less volume for me. i responded well to the 3day split i was running.

anyway, any input greatly appreciated. thanks!

Mike

My limit is 5 times a week, anything over that and I overtrain fast

Needsize - can your old 5x5 routine be modified to run 5x a week? i'm not very good at establishing a routine, i picked my last one off of www.exrx.net and went from there.

oh, also, what's the difference between the 2 types of deadlifts? i can't find anything that shows the diffference between the 2 and i'm afraid i'm doing them wrong. thanks!

i say enjoy the rest and the time you have off, dont increase the lifting. your gonna grow out of the gym, so use that time to eat more and grow.

I think its possible. Just depends on how much gear you plan on taking! 5x5 wears me out. Its a great routine (thanks Needsize for all your posts on this) but I need my days off to grow and recoup.

no gear. never. at least that's my plan. i think i can stay natural and be fine until i hit the size i wanna be. i gotta be realistic here, i'm 5'6", how big can i really get and still look decent? i think gear is a perminent no-no for me, and i couldn't afford it anyway.

just wondering about doing 7x a week for only 4 weeks then going to 4x a week. i'm gauging that the general consensus on this is no, and i respect everyone's opinion. but hey, i had to ask and get opinions, and any more are definetly welcome.

thanks!

OK.

question....

how does one determine they are over training? what clues will your body give you? this is something i honestly don't know and need to know. thanks!
