5lb PR on Partial Beast Lift

Hey everyone! I hit a small PR today on the Beast lift off the power rack. (a deadlift behind the legs) I pulled 725 off the rack at the lowest setting. One side went to full extention while the other was a few inches lower due to my strap failing. But overall a legit lift IMO. ThanX for all the encouragement!!
 
what happened with your strap.... is it becuase your grip is not strong enough to keep tight closed on the strap.

if thats the case, are you working on your grip??...what are you doing to strenghten it??

good work on the pr..... im curious if i could try those hack deads off the pins..... cause i cant do them off the floor due to the size of my hamstrings.

Hey X! I didnt put one of the straps on tight enough. Im not doing any seperate grip work. My grip has gotten alot stronger just from deadlifting. Hopefully it will continue to strengthen. You might like them off the rack. I think theyre definately worth a try. ThanX again!
 
Hell yea bro! No PR is a small PR man, you know that! Even one pound bro, it's all in the name of getting stronger! Great Job!
 
You are making constant progress my man! Be sure to keep your joints in good health. . .you will need to with the type of weights you are shifting around.

Be sure to pick up some glucosamine and some flax seed oil.

ThanX Louden!!!! Hope to be strong tommorrow on the bench. I do plan to try taking one Speed Stack only tommorrow, but only time will tell! haha I know Im going to be sore as fuck from back day, but I still plan to set some PR's. The glucosamine and flax is a good idea. Ive tried them on and off before. So far the joints feel good. If I notice some pain Ill definately get on that stuff though. Your looking massive in the avatar Louden! ThanX again bro!!!!!

Good bro! My next deadlift routine is Saturday...this past tuesday I did rack pulls, and pulled 405 with ease...atttempted 445, but my grip wasn't letting me:mad: So I gotta work on my grip big time...any suggestions? I picked up 315 and just held it there for as long as I could in an attempt to begin to strengthen my grip.

Awesome brother!!!! Fuck that shit bro, definately get straps or chalk, dont allow grip to interfere with your deadlift!! I use a mixed grip with straps most of the time, sometimes chalk. Grip will get stronger just from deadlifting. Hope that helps!!

nope..i think they are the same..there were some issues concerning that though...we just though that thebeast should have his own lift...that's all..:FRlol: :FRlol: tb

From the way I saw the barbell hack illustrated...A huge difference. I dont do much squatting at all in the movement. Mostly lower back. Very similiar to a dead but without the knees in the way. When I get video up I will be able to show it.
