Approved Log 58 yrs old Recomp Cycle Log

Nickleby1968

V.I.P.
EF Logger
Posting here as I am using approved vendors for my current cycle. I am also logging on UGLTalk under the tutelage of @Coach R. AP

Week 14 and it’s time to start logging this journey from cut to lean bulk in EF. I have just made it to reverse last week and now will ‘lean growth’ for 12 weeks before a 2nd cut. My goal was to rid myself of 40 years of fluff and torching my body with alcohol and garbage, to become the person I should’ve always been. I’m on track thanks to my coach and a bit of hard work and dedication! I’ve kept strict in the diet the entire first phase and into reverse.

Cycle/Log/Goals:
Strip as much fat off this old frame as I can, then lean build for the back end of my life…remain optimised and stay healthy!

Personal Info
Age:
58
Height: 180cm
Current Weight: 92kg (down from 99 in Jan)
Goal Weight: It doesn’t matter! Lean and clean!
Coach: @Coach R. AP

Training Program:

Tuesday Lower 2 Seated Hip abduction, Leg extension, Hack squat, Hamstring curl, Romanian deadlifts & Seated calf raises.
Wednesday Rest day
Thursday Upper 2 YTW, Chest fly, DB chest press, Cable pullover, Seated row, Rear delt fly, Chest supported row, Triceps cross extension & Cable biceps EZ bar curl.
Friday Lower 2 Seated Hip abduction, Leg extension, Hack squat, Hamstring curl, Romanian deadlifts & Seated calf raises.

Diet Overview:
Kcal
2,540
Protein 209g
Carbs 352g
Fat 33g

Cardio: 30 mins stationary bike (fasted) every day. 30 mins walk post-workout. 5K walk every rest day.

Side Effects: Nil

Adjustments: Nil

Progress Updates/Weight Changes/Strength Progress: Stripping fat and getting leaner. Still back fat to go but now I’m in the growth phase, I’ll work this hard in 2nd cut. Sagging chest starting to fill back out with new cycle protocol, and a few cm’s added in the last 5 weeks.
I have a great coach and feel confident he’ll get me to where I need to be.

Visual Changes:
Leaner. Stronger

General Comments: Getting some distal biceps soreness, which Zimbabwe to massage out each night. Also, I manage a herniated L4/5 disc so need to compensate in some heavy load exercises.

Thanks for asking Alc!
It’s 24/7 pain for about 12 years now. I’ve learnt to push it from my mind and concentrate on the positive. Unfortunately, I can’t do any squatting, which is annoying, so do incline goblets with waist belt weights.

Twelve years of that and still finding a way to load the legs with incline goblets and a belt is a better answer than most people come up with, the ones who quit are the ones who could not find a substitute.
