My home machine has a lousy 56k connection. I'm not sure if you get 'broadband' in the US, probably you guys have a different name.

Have you guys found that it has really made that much difference?

It's gonna cost me a fortune to have them install at my location.. should I go for it?

Also, UK guys have you found BT's broadband service to be any good. Their 56k internet service is shit compared to Telewest.

Yeah we have cable modem and DSL (both are considered Broad Band Solutions). Go for it! I have cable right now and it kicks total ass.

Cable sucks, especially around 6-8 PM when there's a lot of people on it. But DSL rules. Yes there's a big difference.

Not disagreeing...Cable is the only solution I had available and I took it. I would have taken DSL if offered but in the rural areas of this country you are not going to find a great many DSL providers.

If you are fortunate to live in a bell area that offers DSL it's really the way to go. I have Bellsouth DSL and the service has been excellent.
