and I look like mags avatar only 60 pounds heavier...

tried upper body tday, no go. Im still 4 weeks away.

I once went 6 months with no weights and lost 20lb's of lbm, it was the biggest mistake of my life and now i'm trying to get back into weights.

Hang tight HI. The first thing you don't want to do when you start back is going balls to the wall and trying to recover faster than your body will allow. I've done this and I've seen many a good man do this when coming off an injury.

Damn that's rough. Better to get healed up proper than only be able to half ass it and risk prolonging time away from the iron.

i've seen this too, my husband went thru this when he hurt his ankle, its best to slowly ease back into it so you don't injure yourself!

good luck HI

try 1 year...I've lost close to 40lbs and I'm now a fatty

pretty serious shit. I've just started a back 2 weeks ago and it's going slower then my grandma driving a car

I've fucked up my elbow and I'm going on 3 weeks. Do you guys eat like you would when you're able to lift? or do you cut back on the calories so you don't gain fat?

Definitely cut back on the cals bro if you're not lifting as much.

Have you been working on your legs? It seems this would be the perfect time to bring them up so they are symetrical (sp) with your upper body. They may already be but most guys have scrawny legs by nature. Hit em up.

Word, I have scrawny legs. They are incredibly sexy and hairy but scrawny nonetheless. That is what I'm going to focus on from now on. It seems my legs don't respond like the rest of my body.

Going on 5 weeks for No Cardio or Legs due to the MRI showing
a Non Displaced Tear of the Medial Meniscus and a Bakers Cyst in the right knee. As well as lots of worn cartilage.
I have lost lots of leg muscle mass and put on probably 5 lbs of lard.

I have to wait until Dec 26th for the word from the Ortho Surgeon
as to whether or not I get Cut on..

I'm thinking it's likely...

It's a hard time HI... Damnit that sucks. I had to go 13 weeks without touching a weight (other than leg press and hack squats) because of a cast on my arm... and then another 12 (Rehab)

Today, I'm training with a sprain on the lateral side of my left wrist, a knee that isn't 100% and a back that has 2 compressed vertebre in the middle of my back....

I know how hard this must be for someone with your dedication to bodybuilding... it's like a really bad nightmare...

HI,
Those legs of yours should be big right now. The testosterone release should set you up nicely when your upper body returns to the mix. What have you been doing for legs? What has your split been like? Quads, claves, and hams......Cardio?

C-ditty, what are you going to do about your back?

Hang in there HI. It won't seem so bad at all in another month or two when you are gaining it all back. You've already come this far.

Why not do:

Quads
abs/cardio
Calves
abs/cardio
Hamstrings

on alternating days. It will keep you in the gym, help the emotional depression of not being at the gym, give some priority focus on your lower body and abs, and keep the ol' metabolism going.

Cause you ain't gonna model no Gap khakis with a roll of butter at the midsection.
