I've been checking in on this board for the last 6 months. Great board. This is my first post. I just wanted to get some critiques of my deadlift. I'm in the Air Force stationed in Korea and don't get much time to post, but I do check in to see what's new and what's going on. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to contribute what little experience I have and be able to help some one.

Impressive traps you have there.

Have you tried deloading the bar on the floor between each rep rather than just touching down? It makes it a lot harder as you eliminate the stretch reflex and it'll force you to make the successive reps be a lot more like the first one.

I have never tried the deloading. I have always done it touch and go. It just feels more natural to me.

Touch and go is easier. Easier to get into a flow with reps. But resetting bar every rep is a killer. Much more work. For me (and others ) makes a huge difference. I reset after (almost) every rep on deads, rows, and cleans. Give it a try.

I like the dramatic panning of the camera after your set ;) Like we're supposed to think 'Looks easy, must be 225'. And then BOOM /Madden we see the 5 plates.

re: touch and go, it was hard for me to let go (literally). I actually had to reset my hands at first just to resist the temptation.

I deadlift again next week and will give it a go. Thanks for the advice. I'll let ya know how it goes.
