45-Year-Old Newbie Needs "Old Fart" Advice:

My friend 45 is the new 25
So don’t worry, it all good going forward.

Before I preach, I did my FIRST cycle when I was 47 years old.

I assume you know about training, rest, diet, supplements

I think it is time for a simple cycle, and not growth. Personally I don’t think growth or Igf is all that great compared to gear.

You would see great gains, in muscle, attitude and ability
From Deca and Test

I recommend that you do a 12 week cycle of deca and test with Anti-E’s and PCT

Weeks 1-12 Deca 500mg week
Weeks 1-12 Test E 500mg week

Anti E

Weeks 1-12 Nolvadex
Weeks 1-12 AIFM

PCT

Weeks 14-16 HCG 1500iu x twice a week also AIFM and Nolvadex

Over

You will lose your extra fat, gain 15 – 20 lbs of lean muscle and feel like you 19 again.

Youngster you can e-mail me anytime. Always available.

Good luck

I'm 47 and stronger than I've ever been. Naturally.

Yeah, the joints hurt a little more, recovery is not as quick, minor aches and pains, but if you use common sense and back off when you should, and get plenty of rest, you'll be fine.

THe only problem with "legal" gh is that it costs 5-10 times more than chinese gh (which I actually prefer).

I'm 50, did my first cycle at 37.

250mg sus EW
10mg deca EW

That's all. Kept 12 lbs. You don't need much at all the first time around.

I could not agree more,

Also the MD’s that are in the Anti Aging business

Seem to be retarded,

The whole thing is a joke to me, I would home brew before I went to an HRT clinic.

Took the words out of my mouth. I used to be on the emailing lists of several HRT clinics and they seemed much more interested in reaching into my pockets than looking after my health.

I get better advice here at EF.

Hello All,

I just turned 45 and have been exercising & weight lifting since high school. I realize I'm going to be losing some muscle mass & strength as I get older, but I've noticed a MAJOR loss of strength, mass and energy over the last 3 years. I had actually reached mass levels I had never reached before all the way up to age 42. I was even accused of juicing! ...But now (at 45) I'm like an inner tube with a hole in it. No matter what I do, it all just quickly whizzes away. ...It's like I changed overnight from "Peck Man" to "Mr. Quimby"!

When I lift anything close to what I was lifting before, it feels like my muscle tissue is tearing. I'm actually working out MORE now with less weight ...but maybe seeing 1/4 to 1/8 of the results that I saw at age 42.

I've never gone the gear route. The most I ever tried was andro (back when it was legal) and that never really did much anyway. I'm hoping for a normal, natural solution to all of this ...but I'm open to ALL suggestions.

My questions are:

(1) Is there anything I can do to avoid this ...or should I just go ahead and accept getting soft & old?

(2) What can I do now that I'm in my 40's to get them most out of what body chemistry I DO have left?

(3) Are there any Legal/Quasi-legal/Natural supplements out there that I should be taking to maybe counter some of the effects of getting older (that won't land me in jail)?

(4) Is there an "Old Fart" workout routine I don't know about?

....................Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Thank You,
EPROM

P.S. I hope this is the right forum for these questions

You are a prime candidate for Hormone replacement Therapy. Your symptoms are textbook for a decline in testosterone. It happens naturally but does not have to if you dont want it to!

well i guess im gonna be the lone gunman here

here goes

the symptoms you have could be from other things than lowered tes and gh

the sudden decline in three years when you are in great health could be symptoms of a lot of things

my advice is go to your doctor and tell him exactly what you told us
get every test he recomends
and if he dosent recomend testing for tes levels and such....make him do it anyway
if tes levels are fine(make sure he dosent say "for your age" as a qualifier)
then i would persue the problem from there. if he says he tes is ok and i dont see anything wrong. ask for a referrel to a reuhmatologist
or some other doc, any doc that might look deeper into your problem

if you turn up with a clean bill of health and low test levels
go to any hrt clinic you want to armed with a print out of the tests you have already paid for. get hrt.
even if money is an issue do this

and heres the kicker
if money is an issue
once you have a script for it
order it from your blackmarket supplier and discontinue your hrt treatment
self medicate
if you get into any problems with the law
a lawyer with a script and a proven medical reason to have the substance
well im gonna say your chances are reall good
especially with a old man judge who might be intrested in the full explaination of why you were doin it in the first place

dont wait another minute
make appointments today
you wont be sorry
find out the problem and get back to us
im 42 and havent crashed yet but have my own issues
so very intrested

HEY! ...Now I know what "HRT" stands for!

The only structured workout system I've ever used was the old-school "Cybergenics" method back in the late 80's/early 90's. (I know, I know). Other than that I just structured my workouts as was suggested on AST-SS.com

I was never really a hard-core body builder per say as much as just tried to keep in the very best shape possible. I did enough that friends (and girlfriends) took note, but never said I was going too far with it. I just hate to lose whatever edge I have left going into these "older years".

The HRT route may end up to be more expensive ...but my personal fitness goals aren't really too far from the norm. Maybe with what I hope to achieve it will financially balance out in the end?

BTW: I appreciate all of the input and have printed the entire thread for reference. You guys are top-notch!

Thanks Again,
EPROM

Just saw these last few posts and edited the above:

I've been to the doctor recently for sleep issues ...and also had "shingles" this past summer. (Told you I was getting old!). There was no in-depth circulatory testing at that time, but the Doctor said I looked to be in very good health.

The only other thing I can add is that I had a bad case of Prostatitis back in 2002 ...and that sucker has been enlarged ever since! This required serious antibiotics for nearly 3 months and lots of fun for other people's index fingers. Come to think of it, my libido has never been the same since then.

Maybe there is a correlation?
