400lb HS lineman!

Becoming

Meat Sandwich
Platinum
strong to me

500-750-725

How come whenever football players state their lifts it's round numbers like that?

Its never 492 lbs, 754 lbs, or 628 lbs, it's always an easy number

I always figured this was because they are FOS...

That kid is obviously strong though, just by the look of him.

Probably because in America our weights don't weigh 44lbs etc. We use 100,45,35,25,10,5, 2.5. Notice that when you hadd those up they always end in 5 or 0. CRazzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyy

Exactly... We go by 5lb increments... also I think most americans go for round number goals... say if they hit 400, their next goal is 425... not 410, not 415, etc...

I was not saying his lifts were bad - but a 500lb bench is only 125% of his bodyweight....

If you are a 220lb linebacker 275lb bench would be not that great at all... (I am talking about high level recruits here)

I don't buy the squat & d/l numbers if they're raw. Those numbers are Ronnie Coleman territory.
