4000 Calories A Day...How !!

CHARCHECK

New member
Alright: Well thanks to a bunch of guys on here, I have pinpointed my newby mistake in my first two cycles...eating..not enough of course...my question is about diet I am 6 ft 185, 11% BF about to cycle
400 test cyp 1-10
300 EQ 1-9
liquidex .5 mg ED
Noval on hand from past exp.
clom 13-16
Clen 13, 14, off, off, 17-18

I have counted calories, and I always made the mistake of counting protein...making sure I have enough, I eat roughly 230 grams of Protein a day...but I eat so healthy it only equates to 2500 Calories..Salmon, Egg Whites, Chicken, Rice, S.Potato, Tuna, Trying to keep my abs.

I also have 2 shakes a day, Myoplex and BIG WHEY...pre and post work out....please help me find more calories to put on a qualtity 20 lbs. or so in this next cycle:alien:

Eat every 2 hrs. I'm currently(past 5 wks) on just over 4,000 cal's/day. Keeping your abs on a bulk cycle shouldn't be a concern... but, your cycle(w/ addition to clen) looks like you may be cutting. It's all or nothing... bulk for a full cycle... then cut for a full cycle. Trying to do both hurts progress of muscle gaining. But, to answer your actual question... set a stopwatch for every 2 hours(if you know you won't be able to prepare a meal... keep a protein bar handy, and if your gonna be gone for 8 hrs. take PLENTY of food w/ you, I carry a Kroger's bag w/ me... w/ prepared oatmeal mixed w/ protein powder and chicken and peanut butter sandwiches). EAT. Hope this helped some.

Here's how I get 5500cals

meal 1

16 egg whites

1.5 cups of oats

meal 2

10oz. chicken

8oz. sweet potato

meal 3(post training)

3 scoops whey

1 soar

meal 4

3 scoops Isopure MRP

4 slices whole grain bread

meal 5

10oz. chicken

8oz. sweet potato

meal 6

12oz. tuna

2 cups of brown rice

meal 7

7oz. salmon

6 Broccoli spears

meal 8

12oz. tuna

2 cups of brown rice

meal 9

1.5 pounds of cottage cheese

cals: 5500

pro: 544

carb: 655

fat: 53

i get in 5500-6000 cal ed and 500-575 pro it is easy you eat every 2 hrs from 5am till 10pm and i eat clean ground turkey groud sirloin chicken bre. brn rice pasta flank steak egg beater peanut butter sandwhich on wheat but the key is to eat often at least 8 meals ed for me

Get used to it. Eating is how the game is played. I spend more money on groceries each month then any of my other bills, including car pmt and insurance. Its just the price you have to pay for mass.

Yeah, I am on my bulking and when I realized that I had to consume 4000/cal I was like holy shit!!! But I been eating like a horse, pasta works for me it has a shit load of quality calories. At first I was struggling to reach 4000 so I got on a weight gainer so it helps a lot mostly when your slacking to get 500-700 calories. You won't lose too much abs if your eating the healthy calories, don't worry about them. Another thing lean ground beef has a lot of calories and protien.

waking up in the middle of the night is how i do it. of course everytime the alarm goes off i find myself saying "i hate my life"

GNC weight gainer sucks ass. 300 carbs for every 50 protein. N'Large2 by Prolab has 90 carbs for every 50 protein... w/ milk thats over 100 carbs and 60 protein or more.

How does eating clean or otherwise make a difference?

It would be easy to simply get 5000 calories w/junk food. Eat a case of twinkies & a gal of chocolate milk & there you have it! :D Right along w/a whole bunch of fat!

What you are looking for is a balance of protein/clean carbs & fat. It takes a little home work, actually a lot of homework but, it's all part of the game. I get between 5000 & 5500 daily (at least) sometimes I have some junk food & damn how I love salsa & tortillas! Which actually salsa isn't bad, it's the chips that get me.

That's one hell of a diet Beezers

I like the addition of the cottage cheese before bed, I do the same but only 1-1.5 cups.

All the casein in that mountain of cottage cheese will hold me over with amino acids till morning. Perfect bedtime meal.

Exactly, I thnk it's really stupid for people to wake up in the middle of the night to get some food in. Sleep is more important.

Now if I could get a doctor to hook me up to an amino acid IV drip... :p

my diet is solid, but it would be so much better if i could stomach cottage cheese.

how do you guys hold that rank shit down

I know what you mean trail0r, cottage cheese is rough to throw it down by it's self so I throw in a little bit of fruit no to much though, that will help. It does for me!!!

I know this sounds gross but try cottage cheese with vinegar on it and ground pepper, its good. And a good change! I had cottage cheese in my diet but after a week I said FUCK THIS! And gave it the boot for something else.!

Charcheck, If you dont challenge your body it wont respond. You are eating like an overweight person should be eating. You need lots of protein, lots of carbs, and a substantial amount of good quality fat.
Shakes are going to be what you need. If you are sensitive to milk then use water or Sunny Delight or OJ/juice.
16-20 oz of oj with 3-4 scoops of protein is up to 80 grams or more of protein and its easy to slam down. Just let the shake sit for a while and stir it to let the "air" out of it so you dont get bloated. Try 1000mg of ginger root extract with it and eat no less than 8-10 oz of chicken and/or red meat every few hours combined with shakes and 400grams of protein a day is a breeze.
To all of the people who say that much isnt needed arent the ones growing. If you dont challenge-your body has no reason to change!!!
My friend is eating 650 grams of protein PER DAY and he is PRECONTEST! He isnt constipated or riddled with diarrhea. He worked his way up to it and is fine.

I found it difficult to eat right when I was working. After being made redundant 2 weeks ago my diet is now in check. Going to bed early and getting up early allows some good time to get food in. Have been eating every 2 1/2 hours and has consisted mainly of the following:

Breakfast cereal with 2% milk

125g chicken + 1 Cup wholewheat pasta

125g chicken + 1 Cup Wild (Brown) Rice

4 Scoops NLarge2 with water

3 Scoops Simply Whey with water

Baked potatoe with cottage cheese

Spagetti Bolegnese with wholewheat pasta

Chicken + Mushroom Omlette

Not only is it keeping me occupied but its also interesting trying to spice these bland foods up with herbs and marinades and stuff. Ive never really been big in the Kitchen but ive been living in there for the last 2 weeks.

Eating around 6-7 meals over a 16 hour peroid. Not really counted cals on this.

The main things that prevent consuming loads of calories is 1) Lack of time and 2) Lack of money. Im eating round 3 chicken breasts a day (boneless, skinless, fresh) and they cost me about £1.40 per breast (125g). They are the only realy costly thing. And without a job at the moment LOL :) May go to frozen but I think they have preservatives in em... not sure.

The most anabolic thing you can do is EAT!

If I eat 6000 cals a day, and DON'T take steroids, I grow. If I take steroids - without counting calories - I don't grow, so food is more important than juice. But when I both eat AND take steroids then I explode in size.

I don't know what sort of body type you are. I am an ectomorph. I discovered that I have to eat far more than maintenance calories plus a few hundred extra for muscle growth. I discovered that I have to eat way more than I need in theory for maintenance and growth to stimulate muscle growth. Surprisingly I don't put on much fat either. In any case fat can be dieted off.

The more an ectomorph eats the faster his metabolism gets. So if you want an extra 500 cals in your system then eat an extra 1000.

To eat 6000 cals daily start eating early. Get as much into you as you can - preferably complex carbs. Scale back the carb intake as the day progresses. Before bedtime swallow a large protein shake. In the morning you will feel like superman. The feeling of waking up in the morning and being conscious of the fact that your shoulders feel wider and your arms are bulging is 10 times better than sex!

Happy growing.

nice to see peoples diets, its also good to see people eating 6-9 meals a day...in terms of trying to keep abs whilst putting on mass...here is a tip you might want to take...if you are eating 4000 cals a day try eating 8 meals each with 500 cals...if you eat these every 2 hours and lead quite an active lifestyle as well as 1-1.5 hours in the gym training at quite a high intensity, u might be able to get away with keeping your abs...better still try eating about 750 cals in the morning because you utitlise more cals in the mornings making sure that at breakfast your protien intake is te highest out of all meals. perhaps eat 400 calories rather than 500 later on in the day, and for your last meal before bed just eat a 200g can of tuna and 1 slice of bread, less calories and 40-45 grams of protien from that meal.
