3 Week Cycles?

big tav

New member
Hi everyone, In the Bodybuilding Truth, George says that a cycle should be no longer than 3 weeks in length. He say this flies in the face of what most think and is the first I have heard of it. What is the general opinion of this type of cycle? Does it work? Any examples? Every book I have read says you need to be on for longer to get any decent gains and that most bodybuilders make the mistake of coming off too early (6-8 week cycle) because the firs few weeks are mainly water and just as you are starting to hold some water and start putting on some muscle people start tapering off. Most books recommend a 12-14 week cycle with maybe a 1-2 week break in the middle before switching drugs. Looking forward to hearing from you all on this!!!

three week cycle's? I guess I would have to see how they explain it because I barely feel my gear three weeks into a cycle.

With heavy doses of fast-acting gear (NPP, prop, winny, tren, orals, etc) it's definitely a feasible idea.

tru....but with others such as cyp, deca or EQ even 6 weeks is too short...

2 and 3 week cycles was the talk years back. I know nelson montana claimed to have invented the idea of using a fast acting aas for 2-3 weeks. Enough to get some muscle but without too much supression.. im sure there are some posts about it around somewhere.

what ever happened to him?

in theory it makes sense..
although in application holds little to no water..

I think that if one was to extend the cycle to 4-5 weeks, heavy doses of prop, tren, NPP, orals, and so on, would be quite effective.

The only problem is PCT... do you just do a 3-4 weeks PCT and then go back into doing another cycle, or what?

In the end, it's just simpler to do a 10-12 week cycle and 6 weeks PCT, I suppose.

i still dont like it..
the longer you're on, the higher the chances of keepin gains.
the body adapts to the added mass.

with short cycles, you gain fast but lose fast..
no time for the body to get used to the added mass.. DONT LIKE SHORT CYCLE!

Valid point, but I've heard of plenty of people doing short oral cycles and keeping their gains. Though your argument has validity, others would simply argue that shorter cycles don't put on as much muscle as longer cycles do, and it's usually easier to keep smaller amounts of muscle than it is to keep enormous amounts of muscle.

i hear that one..
but for me, an additional 2 pounds in a short 4 weeker aint worth it.
i'd rather go 12 weeks for 8 pounds.

then again to each his own..
my body likes 12 weekers.

I agree... different strokes for different folks. I'd rather do long cycles, as I'd hate switching from cycle to PCT to cycle to PCT so much.
