2007 Nissan Altima

looks even better than the one it's replacing.

hopefully nissan has corrected their interior defects....seems like a lot of nissan interiors wear out early and develop more clunks and rattles than the comprable toyota.

gotta LOVE than awesome v6 engine!!

makes you wonder if this one will steal sales from the maxima line?

i would imagine they would have to totally come out with something alot better in 2008-2009 for the maxima.

yeh..time will tell.

the last couple of generations of maximas kinda left me cold.....FANTASTIC engine, so-so body and interior.

totally sucking body and interior on the maxima. i remember when maxima had a good body. much time has passed since.

I LOVE nissans. i had a maxima that ran for over 220,000 and then still was running great when I gave it to my brother. You can't kill them.

Plus, that new altima looks really nice!

I dont have a car .. all i have is one of those bikes for 2 people

The old Nissans and the new aren't the same animal.

The old Sentra use to rival Corollas and Civics in reliability, but know they are built in Mexico and are one of the worse compact offerings.

Same with the Frontier pickup. The old Nissan P/U was indestructible. Now you can't use Frontier and Tacoma in the same sentence.

I like the exterior, Nissan is a very dependable car. I think the interior is a bit dissapointing though.

i agree...the early 90's maxima was a very classy, pretty car...a timeless body design, IMO. the next generation (1995???) was a much improved car in drivetrain and interior comfort, but had that frumpy , "old man's car" body that just got worse and worse with every face lift.

yeh u rite....forgot all about it...seems like every one i see is being driven by a gal.

I remember when the first 3.5 was offered in the Altima BEFORE the maxima - lmao @ the qwnage of the maxima dudes at red lights

I have an altima.... DON'T DO IT.... esp in Silver and that leather or grey interior. Their is some kinda spell on them or something. LOL... I'm on my second one, both almost the exact same car besides the interior (one leather and one cloth)

Seriously though, not a bad car and really affordable. Oh and the air bags do work. :worried:

yes, mahh pernt! the current (and new) v6 altima is an excellent alternative to the costlier (and uglier IMO) maxima.

"Toyota" is synonymous with "boring as hell" They've sold nothing but people movers since MY98

i've read a couple of articles about toyota becdoming the #1 auto maker in the United States next year.....looks like GM, ford and chrysler can't even make "boring as hell" cars, much less top sellers.

i heard the same thing. toyota is pushing to be #1 in the world in 2007 or 2008. that is their projection.

toyota, honda, and nissan makes good cars. hyundai is trying to catch up.

it pisses me off that GM, ford and chrysler's names cannot be included in your second to last sentence.........or even your last sentence.

Nissan's strategic planning seems to be somewhat lacking. Starting with the previous Altima, the Altima and Maxima share the same basic platform, but they brought the Altima to market first while the older Maxima was still on sale. So the middle car was allowed to outperform the top model for a year until they could get the new Maxima out.

Now that there's another new Altima, the new Maxima can be expected next year I guess, that seems to be how their product cycle works now.

Yes, not sure why they are doing that. I'm driving on '05 Maxima right now, excellent car.
