Thunder gods dont like Fords I see.

I like the look of that mustang and I really like the retro look on the T-bird. I owned a Ford Taurus and it litterally died at an interstate exit ramp. I wont ever buy another Found On The Road Dead again.

Yes Sir, Tauri were crap.

Ford doesnt exactly have a great reliability record does it? I definitely dont count myself as being a Ford fan but they do make some pretty cars. I pride myself on being a girl who knows how to do a lot of basic auto maintenance but I'd never want to do as much of it as a Ford would probably require.

Wow... that is actually a really nice looking car.

Hard to believe its american.

Nice work ford.

How will the production version differ from the concept cars?

The word is that the production 2005 Mustang looks very similar to the concept cars with the following exceptions. There will be no hood scoops on the V-6 or GT models. The 2006 Cobra may get functional hood scoops. The production version will seat four. The side scoop won't be a scoop at all; it will be a scallop, and fully integrated into the side stamping. The roof will be standard stamped steel--no glass. The quarter panel will have glass instead of body colored insert--rear visibility would've been awful. The convertible won't get the rollbar, and the windshield will be taller. The taillights won't be as wide, and they will have a tri-cell design like 1999-2004 taillights. They will flash sequentially. The concept cars have 20" wheels, but these will only be offered on Cobras. The base model will have 16" wheels and GTs will have 18" wheels. The fuel door won't be on the back like on the concepts, but there will be a Mustang logo there. The fuel door will be on the side, and it won't be aluminum alloy.

....* 5 million chages*...

So in other words it will end up looking like a typical american piece of shit.

I take back my previous "nice work ford" comment and replace it with "typically stupid move, ford."

It probably will look quite similar to that one....the T-bird did from concept to production.

But the Cobra will be bad ass.

And probably twice the price.

Probably twice the price is close to accurate. Dude I have driven vettes and I have riden in some Hard Ass Mustangs with bad ass nit kits... both are bad ass the new stang is bad ass, but as YOU know ..quality has a price.

Payless shoes are half the price as reebok, but they only last like 3 weeks. Stangs are nice, but there is a reason the vette cost more.

A vette is not twice the price as a Cobra.

BB, what you say is true. Of course, I never stated vettes were double the price of a Cobra, but good point the Cobra is not just a Stang it is a Cobra. I have a friend that works for one of the original deisgners for Cobra officed in Dallas.
He has two Cobra's which are kept indoors (not garage, but climate controlled indoors) They are the hardest cars I know of and either one cost more than a base vette...

a base vette is close to twice the price of a base stang

So Corvette is better car if you're hard ?

Excellent question, ummm no vette is better if you have the cash to buy one or the other, but either the vette or the Cobra is very nice to have.
