Here's my take on drinking vs. not drinking as a bodybuilder... I've come up with this theory after a whole summer of drinking trying to pick up chicks and now I look like shit:
A) If you drink when you go out to clubs/bars, sure you'll be a little more outgoing and friendly, yes you'll be more assertive, and you'll likely approach and talk to many more girls than you would vs. if you were sober. Right? right. So you SHOULD drink right? NO. reason? b/c after prolonged drinking, you'll start to look like shit and no matter how good your "drunk game" becomes, if you look like shit you're not gonna pick up even a dirty looking chick.
Alternative:
B) Don't drink. Ever. Sure at the beginning you'll feel really weird at clubs... you'll be kinda shy and feel out of place sipping on diet coke while others shoot back shots, you won't approach girls or make flirtatious comments. However, with time, if you follow a badass workout & diet regime, you'll start to look like a total BADASS. At that point, you won't need to do or say anything... you'll just be able to walk in (dressed GQ of course), and the chicks will flock to you.
This is what I've learned this summer. Look around next time you go to clubs. The most GQ and well built/good looking guys are NOT drinking, yet they have the hottest chick in the place. So, if you're out of shape like I am right now, it's all about DELAYED-GRATIFICATION. I officially QUIT drinking, and I'm not going out AT ALL (to clubs I mean) for 6-8 months (or however long it takes), until I look BADASS... lean, cut, and super GQ... then, it'll all be worth it. later
