2 Questions for AAP

First question. I read that your first cycle was 32 weeks long and consisted of using EQ and winny. I wanted to know why you opted to go with such a long cycle, compared to the normal 10 weeks of test first cycle.

Next question. I also read that you were a swimmer in HS and college. I love to swim as opposed to doing normal cardio. My question is, because swimming is not just cardio, it's a total body workout, how often should I swim? I would swim everyday if I could, but I don't want to take away from my normal workout.

I'm currently on winny/eq, 190lbs, 10%, 6ft tall, trying to get down to 7%. I'm going for that ultra diced model look.

My weight training is a 2day on 1 day off split. With AM/PM cardio everyday for 45mins each session.

So again, how often should I incorporate swimming? Should I not swim on my upper body workout days?

thanks again bro

I remember reading that he did that long cycle, with those choices, because he wanted quality gains. He wanted lean muscle, not muscle and fat.

As for the rest of the questions, you might have better luck on the Chat board, thats where he often posts.

As C3 stated, the cycle was intended to put on lean muscle with no fat. My BF% actually dropped some. I didn't raise me carbs very much which is why the cycle ran so long, but I was making gains throughout the entire length.

Swimming is definately where I got the majority of my back and shoulder development. (and swim drills is where I got my abs from all the ab exercises our coaches made us do). I used to swim every single day when I moved here to South Florida. I prefer the ocean, though when it got too cold, I would do laps at the Swimmers Hall of Fame down on A1A, it is only $2 to go there. last summer, I dropped swimming so much because I felt it was tapping into my recovery system and affecting potential gains. Now I only swim on the days I do not train. About twice a week. it has gotten to the point that I don't swim for exercise but rather to meditate and let my mind go.

Your training split looks good, it allows for optimum recovery. However, 2 sessions of 45 mins of cardio each day may be too much. You can eat away muscle as easily as you can fat with that much cardio. I would reduce the cardio to one session upon rising out of bed and swimming on the days you don't train (no cardio that day). Also, if training hard enough, your workouts will be cardio enough. Toss in some T-rex and a little bit of clen and you will make up for the cardio session in the PM that you missed. But be patient. Most people try to lose too much fat too quickly and all they do is end up smaller fat people.
