2 part question

Question 1
------------
Right now I'm doing 3 days a week as follows.

Workout 1 - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps. Abs

Workout 2 - Legs, Abs

Workout 3 - Back, Biceps, Abs

Currently I'm all natural. Once I start my cycle is it beneficial to add in more workout days? I understand how important rest is, but I know gear helps you recover faster.

Question 2
-----------
The gym I workout at is usually dead at the time I am able to go. Because of this I use dumbbells when doing my bench press. Am I missing out on possible gains by not using a barbell? I feel I can lift my max safely with the dumbbells as I can drop em if I need to. Who knows how long I'd be stuck under a barbell if my muscles failed out on me.

Thanks

Well like you said u do recover a lot faster when on, More information like reps, sets, what w/os you are doing for each muscle is needed, When i am on i train usually 6 times a week and each body part twice. You could probably do each muscle twice a week and for me yes i did grow more becasue of it, it is almost impossible to overtrain when on so do what you like, i would personally train like a horse and work twice as hard to reap maximum results during a cycle. The point is you can train a lot harder without the risk of overtraining when ur on a cycle. Dumbells are great, works stabilizers as well, so no you are not missing out on possible gains by using them. I used only dumbells solidly for my first cycle and had amzing gains. It isolates your chest more then barbel does. the latter works puts more stress on your tris. Both forms of bench are great, when your gym is busy you could sub barbell in instead of your usual dumbell bench.
