1st week of CKD

Well im on the first week of my CKD. Tomorrow is my first carbup (i made it so my carbup would be on wed-thurs cuz tomorrow is my birthday and im going out to a nice dinner, italian. So far i have had great results. Im going ot weigh myself tomorrow. I definately already look a feel alot better. I ate pretty clean before this diet but im prone to gain/lose weight very easily. I would say im about 20 percent bf ATM. Im supplementing with creatine and i was thinking about glutamine too. It has an anticatabolic effect but i wasn't sure. Right now my diet is pretty boring, peanut butter tuna hotdogs chicken and burgers...... I drink only water (i was wondering if anything else would be allowed) I did intake some carbs a few days (minimal only a litle bit of catsup and a little bbq sauce, not on same day) i havent bought ketosis testing strips but if im not in ketosis then ill never be. I am not taking ALA on carbup days and i was just wondering if i should be. Please tell me the benefits to it and if you recommend it then give me a url to buy some from. For an ECA stack i dont think i wanna go on one but i can if its STRONGLY recommended. i heard bad stuff about ephedrine but maybe its just talk? Im relying on you to show me the way so guide me!
 
First off, Happy birthday from a fellow Aries. Glad your diet is working.

You might want to ask these questions over on www.massmonsters.com maybe Mr.X himself wil address you. (not that others here are not fully qualified)

Ill make an attept at helping you for now:

You can add Eggs, Tuna, Mayo, Cheese, Steaks etc.

ALA helps shuttle nutients into muscle and helps prevent spillover to fat. I dont think its totally necessary on a carbup but Im sure others disagree. I do recommend it however. R-ala is supposed to be best, buy from www.anabolicfitness.com

I also dont think ECA is totally necessary and this will also likely be disputed.

Ya how could i forget eggs i live on them. Also i dont eat much steak cuz my parents rarely buy it but when they do i hound it :) Tuna is already on my list and mayo is a msut for tuna! Also i have been snaking on sunflower seeds (out of the shells compliments of giant eagle(local grocery store)!) They have no carbs and are very good too! Also about the drinks thing. Someone please answer that!
 
Stick with just water everything else has sugars in it which will screw up your ketosis cycle.

Take ALA on your refeed days too.

Iceman111 sells capped ala.

The Beyond a century is pretty cheap but you have to make your own caps.

Take Glutamine in the evening .

Congrats on your progress! It gets even better as you go on through the weeks.

As for other foods, bacon is great, full fat ranch dressing and mustard saved my life. keeps the same things tasting different

ECA helps, but probably isnt really necessary. If you go w/ an ECA, gradually ease into it and dont exceed the dosage listed on the bottle.

Oh yea, and remember to adjust your calories as your weight goes down.

ALA is slick. Did the first few weeks w/o it then when I started taking 100-200g b4 meals (15-30min). Maybe its just me, but I felt the carb up effects more. Its not really expensive, so I still take it.

thanks, hrm make my own caps....... id screw up. Is there a big price difference between capped and non capped. And more importantly everyone tells me to take ALA but i wanna know what it does......
