I just heard on fox, Cnn, and msnbc that there is only 35,000, but that was 30 min ago, so I guess 160,000 could have showed up by then lol.

yes far too many peaceful people who look to solve problems with dialogue... far too many people who care about kyoto, nicaragua, nigeria, iraq, afghanistan, saudi...

What a great coalition aginst terror.. Spain, USA, and the UK... oh and Australia... woopee doobee

Thats right, lets have a f-ing dialogue with people that blow themselves up and kill innocent people. They seem perfectly reasonable to me. I am sure if we just talk nice to them they will stop. Kyoto was and still is a joke, why should the restrictions on the US and other western nations be greater than those placed on smaller countries? Their smoke stacks put the same chemicals in the air that ours do. Kyoto was about "leveling the playing field", not about polution.

What the fuck could they be protesting.
The UK and the US are always on the same fucking page in terms of diplomacy.

These people need to get off the fucking dole and get a life.

I am not sure about the UK, but the protests in DC always have the same groups there. I grew up downtown and it was always the same people. I swear at the last major anti-war protest I saw one sign that said "end the war, and keep abortion legal", and another that said, "stop the war and end racism". I think there are just some people that like to march around in big groups. The best march is the yearly Legalize Pot march. They actually tape off an area where people can get high without the police bothering them.

well as much as I like to discuss things with mono-thought morons....

I wonder how many Socialist are out? Maybe some anarchist, probably the same groups that protest the WTO. I wonder if they are all on the dole, or whatever you guys call unemployment over there. I saw one of the crowd interviewed, he was screaming something about Bush is a killer blah, blah blah, the reporter than asked about Saddam and his killing, the best the idiot could come up with was "yeah, but he was just killing his own people".

there are stupid people everywhere, pro and anti war.....there may be a higher frequency of pot smoking hippies on the anti war front but thats the nature of the of these people (lean towards pacifism)

it doesnt change the merits of the arguement...Tony Benn and Ron Kovic aren't stupid...left wing maybe but the rights insistance of political philosophy distinguishing between the merit of an arguement is laughable, especially since the Bush administration has instituted laws the even the left are disconcerted about (patriot act, homeland defence)

35000

propaganda

home of the free lol

Its all propaganda. 150000 is too high and I bet 35000 is too low. Open you eyes, both sides are full of shit. It really does not matter anyway, Bush could careless about what some jobless fools in London think, and Blair seems to be doing just fine.

I swear I have had more than one thought. As a matter of fact I wish we had a decent alternative to Bush, but there is not one at the moment. The Patriot act is a clear violation of civil liberties and my hope is that the courts will find it to be unconstitutional. Overall I think terrorism is a bigger threat than Bush and I have not heard a plan that I feel would protect us coming from anyone else. And like most *ugly* americans, i could really careless what a bunch of unemployed folks in London think about how the US is protecting itself. Maybe if a plane loaded with fuel crashed into the middle of the protesters they would understand where we are coming from.
