1: HST 2: cardio 3: diet

Hey guys I have a question about: a.) Hst, b.) Cardio, and most importantly c.) Diet

I've been meandering around looking for something related to this, but since I'm not trying to bulk with HST, I couldn't find anything on it.

first off here is my HST routine for day 1 of the 15's:

Squat 175
Seated Calf raise 65 (will be doing donkeys for 10's and 5's)
Incline Bench 110
Bent over rows 70
Seated row 90
Curls 40
BOLR 10 on the lower double pulleys
SLDL 75
Skull crushers 60
Arnold press 20’s
Shrugs 190

I don't know if that's enough information, I only have the first two weeks mapped out so far and readily typed up in word so I can fill you in on the rest of this mini cycle if needed.

Secondly, I do 30-35 minutes of cardio three times per week.

Now the question I can't figure out is:

How many calories should I be eating for three different goals *all of which I'm not trying to achieve, I just want a baseline for different aspects*

1: if I was trying to bulk how many calories should I be eating by the time I'm asleep?

2: If I'm trying to drop 12 pounds in 6 weeks, how many? <---that's the one i want!!

3: If i'm working out for fun and could give a shit less about whether I gain a pound or lose a pound: how many?

I am 238 pounds as of April 25, 2005.

I'll keep up on this thread so just let me know if any of you guru's out there need any other info.

I thank you so much guys and it's great to belong to a dope ass board.

I don't know how many calories you should have, it's really an invidual thing with a few loose guidelines (like bigger people usually but not always need to eat more)

So for you I would just start tracking your calories. Google "maintenance calorie calculator" or something, and you'll get formulas for calculating your maintenance caloric intake. Subtract 500 from that, and see what happens. Chances are you'll lose about a pound per week. If you want 2 pounds per week, double the deficit (ie take off another 500 or so)

there really are no hard and fast rules with dieting, it's very much a know-your-body play-it-by-ear sort of thing.

Thanks man i'll check up on it and reply on this thread for it. I was refering to a bodyweight x 12 = calories type thing if that helps...

Here's the one I used:
http://www.caloriecontrol.org/calcalsm.html

For Heavy exercise/activity It says I need 3,954 calories per day to maintain weight.

For Moderate exercise/activity it says I need 3,489 calories per day to maintain my weight.

I do HST mon, wed, and friday for between 50 minutes to an hour. and cardio 30 minutes 3 times per week.

Heavy or Moderate guys?

Casualbb, think you could move this over to the diet board?

I think I'll drop 400 calories off whichever number I pick from above, and the exercise should take care of the rest I figure.

237 as of May 2, 2005.

I'm surprised no more replies :( even a flame for my stupidity (though I'd just reply that your inability to say something constructive is even worse).
