august 25th in ottawa!
We'll I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to Tool.
Last year they did 5 West coast shows before the main tour. So in August I saw them in a small San Diego Venue. I had extra tickets for it that I was able to sell for over $100 each. It was an awesome show.
Then they played October 31st (Halloween) in San Diego, I managed to catch them the day before in Phoenix as well. I have friends and relatives in phoenix, I love visiting there.
This year I am flying to Sacramento, I have friends and family there.. so some of my friends are going with me to the Tool shows. First in Oakland (bay area near San Francisco) then Sacramento. Then I fly back here and see them in LA on Monday night.
I went to UCSD and while I was a student there living on campus they played in our gym two times.. back to back years.
Also San Diego had a small club called SOMA that I saw Tool in back in 1995.. small place, awesome show.. before AENIMA was released.
I've seen them back to back nights up in Sacramento before as well...
I told ya I was crazy.
The shows have evolved so much over the years...

I get to see them 8/21 & 8/23 (see my post on the music board). Have friends in Beantown (North end & Cambridge) and was going to try and make it down there for that show, but it didn't work out. There are playing up in Ontario a couple of times after the 8/23 show, but I think work will interfere.

P.S. Has anyone seen (or spoken to) Peyote Killer? I know he's a huge TOOL fan as well and plans to see them a couple of times.

Hey, no flame, but what's the deal with seeing MJK? Of all the times that I've seen MJK (except the '93 Lollapalooza) he usually plays some sort of character. The band really focus' on the music and imagery (other than themselves) I've seen the guy with a mohawk, in blue paint, and in dressed in drag. But the music is the most important part.
I may be wrong as you say you have been a fan for well over 10 years, so that means you've seen them in the loft days. Ever meet the guys from Rage, Pigmy Love Circus, Green Jello
, or Aloke? What about Blair?Just curious?

OK, gotcha...I see what you are saying now. Hey, any TOOL or APC fan is a good person in my book. Whether they've seen 10 shows or just picked up 'Lateralus'. No disrespect intended, didn't want to come off like that.
I think you'll agree with TOOL, it's all about the music. Just red some great reviews of the early shows!!! I can't wait.

I gotta wait a month before they come here....im seeing them in Ottawa and then in Hamilton...... i cant wait...
I heard the US tour is featuring a whole new set compared to the Lateralus tour....im looking forward to the new set and i also heard alot of Alex Grey's artwork will be shown throughout the show....I love his art.....i got a tatoo of "Christ's hand" in a a circle of Flaming "third eyes" on the inside of my bicep......takes up my whole inner arm and took about 5 hours YEOOOWWWWWW!!!!
