The Florida Gators will challenge the Ohio State Buckeyes for the national title on January 8 when the two teams meet at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale for the BCS Championship Game.

Oddsmakers currently have the Buckeyes listed as 7½-point favorites versus the Gators, while the game's total is sitting at 47.

The Gators got past the Arkansas Razorbacks 38-28 in their regular season finale. Florida covered the 3-pont spread in that game, and the final score made it OVER the posted total of 44.5.

Percy Harvin caught one TD pass and ran for another as he racked up 167 yards in the win for the Gators.

Ohio State held off rival Michigan last time out for a 42-39 result to send themselves to the title game. The Buckeyes did not cover the 7-point spread at home, and the 81 points scored were OVER the posted total of 40.5.

Troy Smith threw for 316 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception, while Antonio Pittman rushed for 139 yards and a score for the Buckeyes.

321 large and some change on Ohio State. Boo yah baby!!

I put the half point in the right place
bodog had it at 7.5 this morning

Much as I despise all things Gator 7.5 pts is a lot. Florida may not win but they will represent the SEC well. I may have to empty the account on this one.

LSU represented for the SEC Florida is a good team so is Ohio State this is tuff I'm going with...................

no one in the papers has made a solid prediction. they said don't be suprised if the Gators win, don't be suprised if OSU blows them out....

It's either 500K or 1mil on Florida....am I a man or a mouse?

bet conservatively. then you have some stake left for this weekend. 500k is plenty....but a mill would even it all out for Mr. Hung.

good point
we have 2 more rounds of NFL action and then the super bowl

500 it is. I don't think I'll bet much on the NFL unless the Super Bowl looks lopsided.

I have to cross my fingers and pull for florida
a mid-season decent penn state squad held ohio state to 14 for 58 minutes
OSU got 2 INT returns for TDs in that final 2 minutes
so the final score isn't indicative of the tightness of the game
I think it was in columbus too
michigan palyed ohio state touch and go all game
then get's manhandled by USC
but then again for both michigan and penn state the ohio state game was their "bowl" game
could go either way with that fat 7.5
my gut feeling is the OSU team speed on both sides of the ball is too much
and they aren't going to be "out-gooned" by an SEC team like notre dame

I didn't even finish the damn post and ohio state is in the end zone

OSU is bigger
fla is crowding the LOS to force troy
troy can be beat
he got a lucky pass to beat penn state

Did you seriously just say a team from Florida doesn't have enough speed? Gimme that Southerner card back!

I thought they had better
I watched OSU close fast on a gifted penn state team
but as I mentioned OSU didn't score much against penn state
one lucky troy toss was the difference
they highligthed it on ESPN like it was beautiful
It was a lucky toss

damn you bitches for talking me out of betting 1,000,000. I was set on that too.

Cha to the mutha fucking CHING!

So why did you bet florida?? Hunch or did you see something i didnt?
the schedule. and 7.5 is huge. and......remember Texas.....last year.

Payback on OSU for them robbing the "U" of the 2002 National Championship with that bullshit Pass Interference call !!!

the big ten is bullshit just like the Pac 10. SEC and ACC are conference that you play quality teams everyweek and makes it hard to go undefeated

Florida was to fast on "d" florida is where all da speed is at

Yeah i see where your comming from. I just thought the suckeyes were gonna put up a better fight. This makes the michigan loss even worse. How depressing :worried:

I was counting on Florida losing by less than a TD...never saw a blowout coming either way. You can't spend 2-3 weeks telling a team they have no shot whatsoever and expect them not to take it personal.

Smith worked his way out of the top 5.
I think he's a career journeyman QB.

- too short for pure dropback passing
- not fast enough to be Michael Vick/Vince Young

i've seen too many Lions picks to be fooled. even Brady Quinn is doubtful, unless he get drafted by an already good team....

Same here thought OSU would not cover I wanted The National Champion Gators to win but was expecting a less than 7 point loss........ I can say that now got a nice ring to it National Champions no controversy or is there

I gave you your clues
USC beating down michigan was the big one

Boise State may have a little bitch about it....... but are they legit?? gotta drop the kids for school good topic for a later conversation......after the way Florida played I don't think anyone could hang with them!
