    Most overrated exercises.......

Back the original topic. Most overrated: - Almost any machine that I can think of - Pulldowns -> Lord_Sustanon btw. I dont agree with the importance of failure when training for size, however I don't wish to clutter up this thread with any more discussion of various non-related issues. :)

    Most overrated exercises.......

*sigh* 20 rep squats that is. Nope, squatting in generel But VOLUME not strength is responcible for hormonal changes. And that builds muscle. 8+ reps Uh yeah, lets do 10x60 reps - that would build a shitload a muscle acording to your theory. Number of reps alone means nothing. To...

    Most overrated exercises.......

Well exercises have NOTHING to do with growth. They just determine which muscles get worked. How ignorant could one person allowed to be? Muscles alone? So forget about GH and test release by the big compound movements, strengthing multiple joints and ligaments at the same time. It...

For all the new guys reading SSAlexSS's threads

Though most of Alex's posts have been... rather silly :), I tend to agree somewhat with him on this issue of high volume. However training each musclegroup even 2x or 3x a week would lead to overtraining for the average newbie. However if you raise workcapacity gradually and use some form of...

Low volume sucks. High volume rules! HIT drools

There is nothing with training each musclegroup 3x times a week, if you remember some important guidelines such as: - Don't use forced reps - Don't overuse going to failure. - Use periodisation. You can't do balls to the walls-training all year long.

Ahh ja, det anede mig nok nok. :)

    Over training question

For once Alex does have a certain point, however going heavy all time 3 times a week would be impossible for most people to maintain for more than 1-2 weeks without decreasing in strength. However this method can work, if you remember to vary your workload and intensity on a weekly basis. It is...

Do you powerlifters find pretty boy bodybuilders annoying?

Well, not really, more boring than annoying. :D Most bodybuilders that I know of, stick to their traditionel 7 day split. Boring!!! "Buf if you squat more than once a week, you will overtrain your legs" "Uhhh, these seated preachercurls are soooooo hard!" I started...

Dont you Hate it,Post your dislikes when working out:)

I really hate the skinny little guys, about 140 lbs and less, spending more time doing curls, or flyers than squats, deads and bentover rows. They are cleary wasting their time in the gym, but that is not my concern... :goatslaye

Anyone tried Power to the People by Pavel Tsaotsaline?

Nope, it's called concentrated loading, a very advanced teqnique. After a couple af weeks with a high volume and intensity, they lower their volume and intensity drastically(deloading) for a week or two, thereby giving the body time to rest and super-compensate, making them stronger.
