    Considering I eat 7 times a day, "dinner" doesn't necessarily have to be a big meal. I taper my meals through the day, and what I call "dinner" just happens to be the meal that comes aorund 7 oclock. I eat again at 9 and 11.

    So I've always thought that carbs before working out was ideal, but I've recently been reading that a bunch of carbs (even if low-GI like oatmeal) can cause a mood crash and make u feel lethargic. Does everyone here eat carbs before working out?

    How many calories do I need to grow?

    I'm 5'9, 130 lbs. trying to slowly gain some mass without unnecessary fat (i don't mind some fat, I know it's inevitable, just not more than i need to make gains.) I've read that around 16 calories per pound is what someone needs to gain mass, so that puts me at about 2100 calories a day...
