Im thinkin about following this program here in a bit. http://www.qwa.org/programs/tbeg6.asp Mainly to work on my jump, and sprint speeds. What do you think about incorporating some actual sprinting and jumping into this? How well do you think the program would work toward reaching those...
Anyone know some good, readily avalible resources on explosive strength and power training for things like olympic lifts, jumping and sprinting.
Thanks
Ive heard that one before. but its not so much a lack of time. I can find time. Ive started up a landscaping business. and ive been workin hard for 14 hour days for the last week, since the season started up here. its probably going to reamin like that through may. My shoulders/arms and...
The title of this thread sounds like im really just hopping on the bandwagon of new popular routines. but i think the hypertrophy techniques from DC training would work well conjucated with westside power and speed sets
Basically the premis for this program is that DC trains 3 times a week...
Yeah ive thought about that too actually. AFter reading some more on westside. and learning that the assitance and supplimentry sets werent supposed to go to failiure. because 4-8 sets of a muscle in an isolation movement twice a week, plus the dynamic and max effort training was too much to...

Ive been doin WSB for the last while, but i want to switch things up for the summer, and start working on my sprints and vertical jump.
How much of my training should be resitance, how much should be jumping, sprinting, plyometrics, etc. What sort of frequency. any suggestions?
Thanks
I just finished my first DE squat day, after the 9 week WSB program. I put the exercises together myself. I did my Speed Box squats at 60% of my 1rm, then 4 sets of 8 SLDL. Then 4 sets of 8 Reverse hypers. Then 3 sets of 12 weighted leg raises. some barbell curls for my own amusement. and...
Anyone have any suggestions for good combo lifts? ie
Hang Clean to Front Squat to Push Press's
The only stipulation is that they can't include Hang Snatch, because there isn't enough clearance around the squat rack to do them.
Thanks
good luck with that jeremy. How far along are you now? I remember you were 250 like two months ago.
Yeah, some guy at my high school was benching 470, at 18 years old. He was jucin, but still.
yeah
Big arms for sure, and well balanced pecs.
After alot of people start working out they get bigger but plauge them selves with weird looking inbalances, even if there training well. ie. strange looking pecs, skinny legs, small shoulders and huge arms etc. youve managed to stay well...
