Like mr kachok said, depending on your rep/set schemes, maybe you could rack the weight after each rep and have you and someone else lower the weight from each side of the bar. If you are not doing too many reps, someone prob wouldn't mind helping you esp if you lift with a partner or spotter.
wow... i never even thgouht about praying. I am really not religious, but I think you guys just turned me... at least for the moment. Right now, after reading those words, i feel a real connection with God. I think I will start praying before I lift now.

Lockout holds are also a good way to mess with your CNS. Load more than you could possibly bench onto the bar and just hold it at the lockout position for about 15-30 seconds. Rack it and then load weight for the next set. It will seem like nothing because your CNS is expecting to be lifting...
