I don't know where you are. You've answered your own question. Finding a ggod school with the style you're interested in is the most important thing. Nevertheless, I can assure you that muaythai is very exciting, and envigorating. Yet it does not have to be brutal to your body.

Now, you'll need good teacher and good environment to remain fired up. Muaythai is my love, yet I've been to several camps that I don't like and would've turned away. So you may like a style, but if the teacher is not making his class fun and educational, the style will be hidden from you. BTW...
