Nelson - Isn't levothyroxine T-4 and not T-3? I believe it makes sense that T-4 would have these effects, as you would be shutting down your own natty T3 production via negative feedback from the T4, and because you would be in calorie deficit, you also wouldn't be converting ANY of that T4...
