    biggest guy ever

I don't believe some of his stats though - 68" chest and 25" arms. No way.

    ground beef

You can season it many different ways before you put it in the oven too. Right now I'm eating some that are Habanero Teriyaki. It's like eating liquid fire they're so hot. ;) You can buy a stainless steel rack for you oven along with all sorts of jerky seasonings here...

His head looks too small for his body.

Help with 5X5 - lack of progress

Yeah, I think I'm going to try the 5X3 for a few weeks, then back to 5X5 for a few weeks, then I'm going to a WSB routine. I have the chains and bands and boards and all that, I've just been too lazy to start it. ;)

Help with 5X5 - lack of progress

I thought it was supposed to be a 5% bump every time??? It can't just be a fixed number because that doesn't take into account the difference between a 200 lb bencher and a 500 lb bencher.

Help with 5X5 - lack of progress

Ok, so about a month and a half ago I decided to give the 5X5 a try before I switch to WSB style training. Anyway, here's my (lack of) progress so far: Bench Press Workout 1: 335-5,5,5,5,4 Workout 2: 335-5,5,5,5,5 Workout 3: 355-5,4,4,2,2 Workout 4: 355-5,4,4,2,2 Workout 5: 355-5,5,4,2,2...

    ground beef

You can make your own beef jerky too. Get a big london boil, trim off the fat, cut the meat into 1"X6"X1/4" thick slices. Hang 'em in your oven. Set the oven to 120-150 for 10 hours and leave the door slightly open. Voila. It dehydrates all of the water out so 3 lbs of beef makes about 1 lb...

Training for a bench press compeition

Good luck, but realize that a 65 lb gain in 2 months is pretty tough to achieve no matter what routine you follow.

how many of you train HIT

Exactly right. Just because HIT is incorrect doesn't mean that it doesn't work at all.

how many of you train HIT

Indeed. And in my opinion, the HIT guys would get more respect if they didn't insult every other training method in every single article they write. I don't think I've ever read a HIT article that didn't waste half the page by talking about how every other training system is worthless...

how many of you train HIT

I think I'll pass. I prefer reading books and articles by Charles Poliquin, Fred Hatfield, Dave Tate, Louie Simmons, Ian King, etc. You know, guys who are big and strong, actually have degrees in exercise science related fields, and get paid to train professional and olympic athletes...

    Making a 5 board press thingy...lol

If you don't have a workout partner, then do what I do - forget about leaving a handle on one of the boards and then loop a mini-band around the bench, you, and the boards. It holds them to your chest nicely.

how many of you train HIT

There was an interview with Dorian Yates in Ironman a couple of years ago where he said that he was NEVER trained by Mentzer and that he NEVER followed the HD/HIT program. He basically said that he always used lower volume than most bodybuilders but that he didn't belive one set to failure was...

    Accomodating Resistance is the SHIT

I have some of the Home Depot 3/8" chain and I just got some 5/8" chain from elitefts and all I can say about the difference in size is WOW! You can fit like 3 of the 3/8 links inside 1 of the 5/8 links. But the 3/8 is still good for adding small increments of weight.
