I recently was doing shrugs with heavy weights , palms inward. Seem to have severely strained nerve exiting C-6 vertabrae in base of neck ( extreme pain in base of neck , across left shoulder , and down left arm- thumb was tingling and numb). Possible herniated disc but mild improvement indicates maybe not herniated. Wheels are SPINNING during recovery time. Has anyone else gone through this ? How did you ease back into workout routines? Can you still develop trapezius muscles effectively without re-injuring? Overhead military style presses o.k.? I am 53, don't take any supplements, not even protien powder ( just eat Cottage Cheese after working out ) but I thought after 35 years of half ass work out routines I was doin' alright for an old fart...Any advice - thankyou
