I recently was doing shrugs with heavy weights , palms inward. Seem to have severely strained nerve exiting C-6 vertabrae in base of neck ( extreme pain in base of neck , across left shoulder , and down left arm- thumb was tingling and numb). Possible herniated disc but mild improvement...
