    Body Gem?

Ammilio, what's your weight, height, bf%? Just curious to see how the cals are affected by weight, bf, etc. 10% huh, that would be 135 cals for me. I guess you should keep them a little lower if trying to lose and a little higher if trying to gain, just to be safe. Also, Bignate, do you think...

    Body Gem?

Just curious, does 1350 cals for a RMR sound low, average, high as far as metabolsim and cals/day goes. I'm 5'4, 128 lbs., not sure about the body fat. Although I think I'm about 16-17, (maybe less?) give or take a few. The last time I got tested, I was 19% at 137lbs.

    Body Gem?

ooops...Let me try this again....Overall, it was pretty simple and will be well worth the time and money if it helps me fine tune my diet. Plus, I really love knowing my actual calorie needs rather than an estimation given via mathmatical formula.

    Body Gem?

Yeah!!! The Bodygem testing has been completed! They remembered the machine this morning (Thank God!). The procedure was really simple. I just breathed into a mask for about 5-8 minutes. My RMR (not my BMR) is 1350 cals/day. So, from what I understand this is the amount of calories my body...

    Body Gem?

Guess what Jen. I went to get the bodygem testing done Monday morning and they FORGOT the machine at their other office. I was not happy especially since I hadn't had anything to eat or drink since about 6 the day beforein preperation for the test. But, I rescheduled for tommorow morning so...

    Your nurses of the future.

No problem Scarlett! I know there is a tendency to look at an associate's degree as taking the "easy" way out, but that's not always the case. I am enrolled in a four year program so you certainly didn't hurt my feelings. I'm just proud of my mom!

    John Ritter Died

It could have been an aortic aneurysm. That would explain his sudden, unexpected death.

    Your nurses of the future.

Oh, and my Mom went back to school and got her associates in nursing. She didn't go to college right out of high school because my dad wanted her to stay at home. She is an EXCELLENT nurse! Just becasue she has an associates doesn't relegate her to LPN status. In fact she is the only nurse...

    Your nurses of the future.

I have got to chime in here! I am currently in nursing school and I am by no means ignorant, ugly, fat, white trash, etc.. I actually have a degree in exercise phys. and , like Scarlett, have found that job opportunities are limited in that major. Therefore,I'm back in nursing school and...

    Body Gem?

Sure jen. I am really looking forward to seeing what I really need/day as far as calories go. Of course it's only basal. I wonder if they can tell you how many cals you burn during certain activities. Bignate- do you have the PDA version or PC version?

    Body Gem?

Has anyone gotten their BMR using Healthetech's Body Gem or Med Gem? I have an appointment for Monday morning. Just wondering if anyone had it done and what they thought.

    Eye Twitch!! Out of Control...

Nonerz, you could be dehydrated or your clacium or magnesium stores may be low. Have you taken a diuretic lately? I know you said you were PMSing and if you've taken anything to reduce the bloating that may be a cause.

    wide jaw?

I remember seeing a picture of Mandy as a teenager in an old article. Maybe it was in Flex? She had a very square jaw even then. I doubt the drug use had any major effect. I think a lot of that is genetics. I also have a very square jaw and it's more pronounced when I'm leaner. But, I...
