    Thanks for the input guys. The only freeweights at my gym are dumbbells, so i'll ask my trainer if there are any suitable programmes for me, the only problem being shes going to be a complete bitch and lecture me about the dangers of freeweights amd shit. :( o well thx guys

    i still dont get it. i've been looking at all the 5x5 threads etc but none say why the 5x5 is better to a simple 2x12. Wouldnt a 2x12 be just as good if u increased the weight every so often??

    dude i dont even know what compound lifts of w/e are......................................... and we don't have many free weights at my gym. don't tell me that i should leave the gym cus that kinda advice aint needed seein theres no other gyms. all i've got is machines......... and a few hand...

    set=like when ur doin the 5x5 programme u do 5 reps, 5 sets, so the question is, do u work each muscle group once each set, like do 3 different weights that work different muscle groups each set??

    Ok, so i'm looking to build muscle mass, but not HEAPS. I was wondering if i do a programme such as 2x 12 reps, will i build muscle?? i don't want to get really big, just have a bit of bulk. Also, when doing the sets, should i only work each muscle group once per set??

    ok guys.. the problem is theres no other local gyms, this is the only one i can go 2. So i'd appreciate it if u could give me some advice on a programme seeing the 5x5 1 isn't going to be a good choice for me. Squats are not either, as my knees are not good because i have osgood schlatters...
