    jump roping before or after lifting?

    I like to jump rope like for 20 or 30 minutes and it is a good cardio workout. my question is should i do it before i lift weights or afterwards? keep in mind i am jump roping on a hard surface so my legs usually feel sore after i finish. i wonder if i should try and find a more soft surface...
