I understand the concept of not eating before doing cardio, but I would not be able to lift on an empty stomach! How soon should I eat before working out in the morning, and what should it consist of?

I never work out early in the AM, and I'm beginning a new, stressful job in a week. If I begin working out at 6:30 before I go in to work at 8:30am, what do you eat before a weight training workout that early in the AM?
