    Yeah, it's a simple equation. Calories in vs calories out. Your internal functions might thank you for eating clean, but as far as lifting heavy things go..... surplus amounts of mcdonalds is better then a deficit of super duper squeaky clean vitamin x food.

    Bench Press, how useful is it really?

    For sport carryover at least, it seems like the push press would be the most beneficial, simply because it's a total body movement that starts at the feet and ends with an upper body press. The co-ordination and transfer of power from lower to upper body is seems like it'd be the most beneficial.

    I've been doing barbell presses standing, and occasionally dumbbell presses standing. I think standing db presses are a very underrated exercise. There used to be a difference between my standing and seated weight, but after doing standing so much, my core has caught up and they are the same.

    Hey, I'm in week 4 of a dual factor 5x5, and I was doin deads w/ 330 for 5x5. That's a big PR for me, and the weight felt very heavy...on the 5th rep of the 5th set I felt my back give out and round pretty bad, kinda scared me...
