    There's a study that shows whey before hand preserves lipolysis while sparing muscle. And yes, I sometimes take EC before if I do AM cardio. I think the partioning effects of E are especially beneficial at this time.

    does an unfit person burn more calories than a fit person?

    Lance would burn less because he's been trained to be more efficient at it (at the same speeds). Once you'd adapt, you'd burn less as well. However, in the real world lance would burn way more cals because he can keep a much more intense pace for longer.

    So Nelson...I usually avoid caffeine before I eat carbs because it increases the insulin response to food...is this something you disregard?

    Tonight I just had a portabello mushroom, cooked in a pan w/ marinara sauce and cottage cheese (honestly tastes like mozzerella if you cook it right), and some more cottage cheese w/ 3 tbsp natty PB.

    He pretty much did when he answered me. Alot of cookies and PB early in the day, and chicken breasts later in the evening.

    I agree, but meathead sounds like a pretty active guy, his maintanace is probably over 3500. Also, meathead are you sure your actually getting 4500 cals daily? I know on days when i'm active and what not, I can easily think I'm eating alot but when I look back, I only had maybe 5 or 6 meals...

    Nelson...could you elaborate on "coffee hoards carbs"...curious. caffeine pills, i'm pretty sure, are more effective than caffeine in coffee....I seem to recall something about an ingredient in coffee that makes caffeine's fat burning properties significantly less effective.

    zero, out of curiousity, I'd like to see an example of your daily itinerary...i.e. a little breakdown of when you train/do cardio/ eat ect...curious because you said you break the cardio up.

    yup its all sugar. vodka is the lowest cal hard liquor...about 80 per shot i believe.
