    shin splints *help*

    I am going into the Marine Corp. Yes I do all the exercises needed to for the PFT test. I do lots of sit-ups, and trying to do pull-ups, everyweek they get easier and easier, but with those, i do lots of dips, and push-ups. I run M W F and bike on the stationary bike for 60 minutes on T TH.

    thanks for the help, I've been running alot trying to get into shape because i am inlisting. This fall, so i can't stop running becasue i need to be able to run long distances.

    Is there anyway to "combat" this by working out my calf muscles, or running more to strenthing them, or cut back?

    Pushups, pull ups, etc and the USMC training

    I am inlisting into the Marines sometime this fall. My recruiter told me the same thing, just run, run, and run. and do pull-ups, sit-ups. These are for the PFT test, but in everyday PT routines i was told that you do dips, and push-ups. so i have been working out doing jsut these ecercises, and...

    routine for basic....

    I am going to Basic next summer for the Marine Corp, and the PFT test requires a 3 mile run, pushups, pullups, situps, and dips. I was wandering if anyone here has tips on improving one's pullups and run. I want to get a jump on it because this is to be an Officer and my results will effect me...
