I will be getting surgery in a couple of weeks and will be unable to lift for around a month. Cardio won't be a problem, and I'm planning on doing something like four 60 minute sessions a week to stay in decent shape.
So I'm wondering what type of diet you would suggest to 1. Allow me to...
Don't like the idea of doing bis so close to back, may just be a personal thing but I find recovery to be an issue there with how you layed out your routine. I'd combine bis with back and do a little less volume for them, they are a very small muscle and will be fatigued somewhat anyways from...
Started cutting recently...used to a low volume\high freq program but volume has also worked well for me. I guess a big problem is how to incorporate 3 cardio sessions per week while doing a volume routine without overtraining....also reduced cals obviously don't help :p
So what has worked...
Finally after 3 years or so I'm able to squat ATF pretty much pain free after coming back from a back injury...one of my major concerns is not to aggravate the previous injury or cause a new one.
In designing a leg workout there are certain exercises that I simply have to stay away from. Two...

I'm thinking about giving this routine a go...would like to hear from some of the people that used it...
I can see gaining a lot of strength as being very realistic but dunno if it's the best program for mass as the rep range is very low (4-6)
^ That's a great exercise. To the original poster if you are having some problems feeling your chest working the above exercise is good to establish a mind-muscle connection, which you can transfer to the more popular pressing movements.
Some things that should help you develop the chest...
I've been in a kind of a rut lately training wise. No big deal but going to the gym less, anywho it actually feels like i've made more progress with the less is more approach vs. training muscle groups 2x per week as I've always done.
I heard a theory that as one gets more advanced in lifting...
I have 2 in the low back. I was diagnosed with them a little over a year ago. Combination of contact sport, extremely tight hamstrings, lifting, and genetic predisposition(will go into this more if people don't believe me).
One is extremely small and I get barely any pain from, the other was...
Are you able to squat\deadlift at all or are those exercises out forever?
It's been a little over a year since I received this injury and things are looking up, just wondering how many people have gotten back to doing these 2 important lifts.
The skinny idiots around my age that don't even look like they work out and act like they own the place....also enjoy giving me "tough guy" looks and saying that I juice
The music, not a big deal anymore since I got an mp3 player
I'm talking about this http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=460754
Anyone done it? If so how were your results? I'm getting bored doing the same thing week in week out so I thought I'd give this a try.
