Nice. You make me jealous with the OL setup :). I am slowly recovering from the back injury now (did single w/ 93 yesterday). Reverse hypers rock.

Wow. You had that jerk. I can't believe you missed it.
You'll get at least 125 in comp for sure. On a side note, hani asked (told, actually) me to compete in the upcoming tourny. Not 100% sure if I can make it though :D.
Did you have any shoulder problems on your first week of training?
By the second day my shoulders felt completely worn. It was a very deep soreness (probably the rotator cuffs) I never felt before. I was having a hard time jerking weights that I could press :(.
Since the competition's coming...
Oh come on, curls are not that bad. Many pros do curls too :D.
Btw, where in Toronto do you train at? Im planning to start going to a place called GTA school starting next week.
I have a problem with the catch too. I was told to pull closer to the body, grazing the thighs in the second pull and meet the bar fast at the top.
I always forget to pull close enough and got some nasty bruises to show for it.
Its easier to cheat in the back squat as you can lean forward a bit recruiting more of your lower back. You try that with front squats and the bar comes crashing down.
Generally, you should be lowering the weight in a controlled fashion unless its too heavy to do so (for the bar's sake, unless you are using Eleiko). But really, the fun is whipping it up.
Are you a U of T student? I heard U of T has a OL team.... or a club? I wish my univ had an OL club. But...
Nice. Im also doing something similar to what you're doing but I work up to a few heavy singles and back off with a few sets of lighter doubles.
But my clean catch form is horrible. I cant quite get it down and my collarbone get bruised most of the time. So clean and jerk is quite far behind...
