BTW small world I lived in Chelmsford too! Patching Hall Lane then to North Springfield and Hadleigh before heading north.
My training schedule is pretty basic....
Run a mile to gym then start with doing 30-40 mins cardio, rowing, cross trainer etc
Then do a mixture of free weights and machines in sets of 3
Read somewher last year about doing
1st set lightish with 12-14 reps
2nd set mid weight 8-10 reps
3rd set heavy 4-6 reps
Trying this for the moment.
