when changing your routines up do you vary....

i change the order of the exercises every few weeks, i change the exercises themselves every 6-8 weeks, although sometimes i will reduce the number of sets on my routine and stick an extra exercise in or something. I totally change days, and routines every 12-14 weeks

    Arms - I want guns

I do 6 sets on my bi's once a week. The rest is done from deadlifting and back day. Since dropping the volume and going as heavy as i can on deads my bi's have started to grow quickly

Which is better for sculpting legs?! (squat Q)

my point was aimed at the intensity at which many people train to. Alot of people say they train hard, but in fact they are holding back whether they know it or not. Obviously if your failiing on like rep 6 or 7 on a 10 rep set and need your spot to ensure you finish then fine, but i see so...

    Walk or Run?

it doesn't mention how much muscle loss was experienced though

    Walk or Run?

I totally disagree. By working to a level that high you will burn muscle as a fuel and will hinder all your muscle gains emensly. The idea here is to burn a few excess calories, not your entire muscle structure. Why are long distance runners and such like so skinny? Because they burn on a high...

Which is better for sculpting legs?! (squat Q)

The heavier the weight the more pressure on the joints. Especially squats. It is good to use high rep sets every so often even if it is just for some variation. One thing you might want to try. A friend of mine uses HIT training alot. One thing he said always stuck in mind after i tried it. If...

    biceps

i have recently switched to doing arms on there own day and this is my routine Tris and bis supersetted Skulls with preacher curls rest pause. 20 second pause. 7/5/3 3 sets. Take your 7 rep weight for this exercise. Do your 7, pause, 5, pause, 3. 1 set Skulls then 1 set preachers. French...

    Side bends

I actually agree with you both. IMO they will add (although minimal) some size to your waist, but not huge, bloated looking amounts. They are great for the entire mid-section and will build get stability.

    Arms 3 times a week?

hurt big time. You already train your arms on chest, back and shoulders, let alone if you do a seperate arm day. If anything you may already be overtraining them.

    Walk or Run?

Really that low is good enough. You can go slightly above, just not above by a great deal. Smoking has to go to mate. I quit a while ago. Not only the cancer, but the oxygen in the blood is effected heavily which means that your muscles are being feed shit. Add to that the fact that smoking...

    Walk or Run?

The ideal heart rate zone is 55-60% of your maximum heart rate. This is calculated by taking your age from 220. so if you 20 years old your max heart rate is 200, therefore your target heart beat is between 110-120 bpm. If you work much above that then you will start mobilising protein from...

    Walk or Run?

After weights the glycogen stores have been depleted so you could do 20 mins no probs. The point is that the first 20 mins are basically a warm up in many respects. When doing cardio only you could do 10 mins on 5 different machines and that would be just as good as 50 mins on one (actually...

    Walk or Run?

Walking is supposed to be better as it doesn't elevate your heart beat to high and optimises the bodies metabolism for fat burning. The first 20 mins of cardio will have no effect on fat levels as the body will burn glycogen from the muscle before it attacks another source of energy. By working...

    Body fat percent

decrease the time between your sets to increase your metabolism. Cardio is really the only way though. You need to create a calorie deficit in the body in order to reduce fat. But you don't want to work at too high a level. Work to about 60% of your maximum heart beat for 2-3 sessions a week...
