Hannibal,
Sorry man, my account here got frozen. I'm completely done with Lazarus, but Matt's still using it. He actually used it at the SLP meet where he hit 525. I think he's planning on using his Karins in Tulsa but I really don't know.
Remember though... Lazarus has changed alot since I...
This really depends on what you're going for. If your 6' tall and about 165lbs, i have a crazy-ass diet that put a shit load of weight on me. If I were you I would pick out a couple of the best powerlifters that are your height. Find out what they weigh, then figure that weight to be your goal...
Matt hit a super clean 500 lb Bench today. It was freaking awesome. Definately had more in him. Bastard finally beat his little brother. His previous max was 425 but he did it for a triple twice in Nazereth. Couldn't touch 405, 430 or 455. Then he touched and blew up 470. At that point we knew...
Kyle,
I sent Dave's and your video to Hayward, and he will have them up on irongame soon. You might see if you can get the one that you guys have of your DL because I went crazy and soiled myself after you got it. Thus, the camera work is poor at best.
I'm definately a belly bencher and I blew an Inzer DD on 365 and an Inzer Single Denim with 315. I wear my shirts damn tight though. You may be doing everything fine. Sometimes there's a random weak spot on the shirt.
OK, I have to tell this part of the story which has yet to be told... It seems that there was a slight scheduling error between the SLP meet and a southern gospel trio. So as Dave was working on his 700 lb bench , about 50 feet away was the strength inspiring tones of southern gospel music. So...
Yeah Corey, in all the comotion I didn't get to properly congratulate you. You are getting DAMN strong... I was very impressed with your lifts on Sunday. Keep up the training and you'll be chasing those World Records before long. Now I need to go work on my Deadlift.
Probably the coolest lift I've ever seen also, but it's a toss up between that and Dave's 700 bench... all in one meet. Kyle, you're a super-freak.
PS Congrats on winning the race to 500. I'd race you to a 900 lb Deadlift, but it would take me the rest of my life, and you might get it this...
Hey guys, I'll post the videos tonight of Dave's 700 lb bench and Kyle's 800 lb Deadlift. Both lifts were freaking increadible. You'll freakout on the speed of both lifts.... amazing.
You can get Powerlifting USA's top 100 for 2001-2002 at http://www.texasuspf.net/top100listings.html
These aren't the most current, but still very helpful.
