    forearm pain from curling??? help

If the pain hurts too much to curl, then take a few weeks off. A good exercise that won't put stress on the forearms is weighted pull-ups with palms facing inwards. Actually any bicep motion where your forearms remain relatively stationary should work. I use to have the same problem. Tell me...

320 lb. arm curl and only a 400 lb bench? Is that a misprint?

    sticking point on bench

okay, my problem is i can easily lock out more weight than i can get off the initial 1-3 inches of my chest - so i guess it isn't an issue of tricep strength. since i don't use any type of shirt, what exercises focus on this part of the lift. i don't think it's an issue of bar speed either...

    "Getting big is simple" post???

bouncing the weight off the floor on deadlifts is similar to bouncing the weight off the chest on bench press - just don't do it.. keep a nice slow motion on the way downwards and gently tap the floor.

    Bench technique question - thx.

Well I've been watching all the downloadable videos of benching that I could find and it seems that most high-level benchers are definitely tucking their elbows in - however, none of them were doing it to the extent where their elbows were grazing their bodies.. thanks for all the responses.

    Bench technique question - thx.

Okay I read this under training tips to increase bench press.. i'd like some feedback from some experienced benchers.. (300+).. use the elbows against lats technique, your elbows should never be perpindicular to your body, they should caress your body as you lower the bar. now i definitely...

Phospagen HP - What to expect

well if you decide to do the loading phase of 20-25 grams a day be sure to drink plenty of water for better and safer absorption. when i used phosphagen HP i put on about 10 lbs and maintained maybe 5 of it.. i did the loading phase and was on for maybe 8 weeks.

    best home-made weight gain shake?

well the good tasting ones usually have a pretty ridiculous amount of calories from sugar in them and pretty enthusiastic serving sizes - try myoplex MASS if you can find it on sale.. 500 calories and i personally don't think it tastes half bad.. get strawberry and toss in a scoop or two of...

How do you guys measure your chest?

Personally, I find that taking measurements is a good way to measure progress/regression. Sometimes just looking in the mirror can be a little too subjective. But like AH said - you might have 18" and it not mean jack.

When should dips be done -- before or after bench press?

I think most would agree to take care of the big three lifts first in the workout - when energy is still high. In this case, bench press before dips.

Whats The Most Strength You Ever Gained On A Cycle??

Those are definitely some great gains.. what I'm curious about is how much of the strength you maintained 6 months after your last cycle? Is 50% of the initial gain a safe estimate of strength increase? Thanks.

    General approach.

During the three years I have been lifting I have been able to get much stronger, but not necessarily much heavier. I am about 5'9 so I figure the lightest I could competitively compete (Collegiate) would be at 165 lbs. Below that, and I imagine the shorter stockier men would clearly dominate...
