The importance of post workout meals considering we all lift weights

Actually, since I have reached my goal of less than 8% body fat, this is my typical meal schedule: 4:45 am get up, eat about 200 cals (50 g carbs) of high GI carbs; e.g., sugar cookies, rice krispy treats, oreos, etc. When I was in full "lose fat" mode, I would not have these early morning...

    Question: Bagels

Well, if you're going to have carbs, then the morning is the time to have them. I do my workouts (50 min of weights one day, then 50 min of cardio[running] next day - Sunday off) at 5:30 am, since its the only time I have free. I enjoy high GI carbs on weight training days, usually about 200...

    Has Anybody Tried.........

I'm not overly concerned with the glycerin, since from what I have read about it, it doesn't cause an insulin spike. Thus, as long as the protein in the bar makes up 40% or more of the calories - I'm good to go. Of course, I try to get the lowest carb, lowests fat/sat-fat bars out there, but...

8% BF - if so, WOW...

True - but I personally like to have something subjective to go by. I found that I convinced myself that my lack of exercise, my increasing waistline was ok. If each year you add 1.5 lbs. of fat, after 10 years, you got a decent amount of flab. Gradual change, especially that of 1.5 lbs...

8% BF - if so, WOW...

Granted, Tanita scales are not the best, but what is. That's why I got the calipers to pinpoint and compare. Actually, when I put the Tanita scale in "Athlete mode" its within 1% of what the caliper readings give. But, the main reason why I bought the scale was for monitoring - being able to...

8% BF - if so, WOW...

So, for the past 4 weeks I've been using a Tanita scale to determine my BF. Granted, I know it is 100% accurate, but I was looking for something that would give me easy day to day monitoring and a baseline. Well, I started at about 14% BF, and went down to about 12.9%. I have been at 12.9 for...

What is the Lowest Body Fat Attainable for my diet/exercise routine...

I want to be more cut, and I think that 8% would put me where I want to be.

What is the Lowest Body Fat Attainable for my diet/exercise routine...

Also, my job is behind a desk, thus, I thought 2000 cals (sedentary) would be good to lose body fat in combination with hour long cardio.

What is the Lowest Body Fat Attainable for my diet/exercise routine...

I'll try eating more. According to the activity calculator on cyberdiet.com, running at 8 mph for one hour at 170 lbs weight, yields 1000 cals. Besides, running usually burns 25-30% more cals than a bike, stationary or road. But that's not important. I think 60 min of cardio at a 7.5...

What is the Lowest Body Fat Attainable for my diet/exercise routine...

I am currently 168 lbs., at about 11% body fat. I consume about 2000 cals a day, at 50/20/30 protein, carbs, fat, eating 5 - 6 meals. I do cardio first thing every morning, between 45 min - 1 hr., at about an 8 mph clip (estimate 1000 cals burned for 60 min.). I do 5 miles every other day...

Is dr. mauro d. pasquale saying that spot reduction is, in fact possible, w/o/ drugs?

I think this is a marketing ploy based on the fact that you notice fat loss more on the areas of the body that tend to store more fat; e.g., on men, the stomach area. YOU CANNOT SPOT REDUCE - it doesn't make any sense.
