    Critique my routine...

    My routine: 1. Squat: warmup of 10 reps and then 1 x 8 (once per month, 1 x 50) 2. Stiff-legged deadlift: 1 x 15-20 (once per month, 1 x 30) 3. Overhead press or bench press (alternate each workout): warmup, 2 x 6-8 (once per month try maximum for 1-3 reps) 4. Barbell shrug: 1 x 15-20 5...

    *How Much Do You WEIGH?*

    I'm 16 years old, 6'2", and 186 pounds at between 10-12% bodyfat... I've just started a fukking serious bulking program, and I hope to hit 225 @ sub-12% bf by next Summer. A hard goal, I know, but it is possible and worth striving for, in my opinion...

    Squat question for tall guys (6ft+)

    Re: I'm 6'2", 16 years of age, and whenever I go heavy on squats (i.e. 120 kilos+) my lower back hurts for days afterwards. I did 135x12 (135 kilos, that is!) about two weeks ago and the back pain I experienced for days afterwards was so intense that I had to take a break from the gym... I...

    Which muscles are good for Arm Wrestling?

    Arm wrestling is all technique. If you pull your opponent's arm towards you, you'll have more than enough leverage to take down someboody twice as strong as you are.

    Ab training...

    I've recently run into a little problem with my ab training. You see, I've always been able to do incredeble amounts of situps and crunches -- I can now do 1000 consecutive crunches easily. This makes my ab training a nightmare due to the fact that it takes 400+ reps before I begin to feel...

    Weigted Dips

    Yeah, I completely agree. Dips are probably the best excercise out there for the Tri's, and I still think that they're the "Upper-Body Squat". In any case, how did you do them? With two benches, (i.e. hands on a bench behind you, and legs on the bench in front of you, weight plate across your...

    best routine for strength?????

    Squat. If you put enough effort into your squats, muscles all over your body will grow. Also, if I'm not mistaken, to Snatch you need some strength in your delts and back. For Delts, try a standing Military press or Push Press of some sort, and Barbell rows, Deadlifts, and Pullovers should hit...

    How long do you, personally, work out (in forms of hours) and how many days per week?

    It used to be 6 days of lifting (push-pull-legs split), then I got a 9-hour per day summer job, which does not leave me the time to lift every day. Currently: 4-5 days per week, 40-60 minutes per session.p

    What are you?

    I'm an Ecto-Mesomorph myself. I used to think of myself as a complete Ectomorph... until I started seriously working out and found that I'm anything but a hardgainer...

    major chest problem

    Well, it worked for me. Weighted one-arm pushups would also work, however, for those that prefer to do only 6-10 reps...

    major chest problem

    Train chest like you normally do, but at the end of each chest day, do 100 one-armed pushups for the smaller side. If you can do 100 on your first try, then keep adding 10 more to that every workout until your chest is symmetrical. If you can't do 100, then you've got your work cut out for you...

    30 pounds in 6 weeks drug free? Anyone read Super Squats? Is this true?

    I gained a lot of weight while on a similar routine for two months. I won't even bother mentioning just how much weight I gained, as very few would believe me... Anyway, all my lifts went up, and I felt much bigger and stronger after the routine. I ate around 4500-5500 calories per day spread...

    Hey.. would this be OVERTRAINING? (Question to everyone +Mic)

    2x6 is more than enough to promote growth, just go heavy and lift to (or beyond) failure. If you finish early, that's a positive thing, as it leaves you time for other things in life... Keep in mind that lifting without eating or sleeping a lot is essentially worthless. Eat 1.2-1.4 grams of...

    Hey.. would this be OVERTRAINING? (Question to everyone +Mic)

    ~~~, The routine you posted looks quite solid indeed. However, I wouldn't do 5x5 for *everything*, just for certain 'problem areas'. For areas that grow more easily, 2x6 will work. Also, at your age, I wouldn't do any squats with more than 100 pounds on the bar. Go deep and learn the form; thus...
    How much do you Squat?
    I've done 222x20 (100 kilos), though at 16 years of age, I'm still rather wary of the spinal compression that going heavier then that can entail. So, I squat rather lightly, and work on form...
