Please start eating instead! Once you finally start feeding your body PROPERLY then it will build some sexy, shapely muscle while at the same time shedding FAT. Your metabolism is shot and your body is in starvation mode at this moment so it's gonna hang on to whatever...
I agree with pretty much everything that's already been said. Her legs are NICE! Gosh, why would she want thinner legs, hers are great!
I used to feel the same way, I've always had naturally big, muscular legs. I don't weight train mine at all either, instead I'm a speed skater so I do a...
Read this post: http://boards.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=91924 I promise it will be VERY helpful to you and your girlfriend.
She should train no differently than you. Training principles for men & women are the same, that article link I posted above will further...
The problem is definitely her diet. Those are not enough calories for a 138 lb woman, not only that, but she's eating the wrong foods, and in addition, not eating enough FAT. You have to eat fat to burn fat. Do not be afraid of fat. I weigh 140 lbs and I eat anywhere from 15-25 grams of fat...
Michelle,
Why do you REFUSE to listen to ANYONE'S advice?!! I, as well as MANY others, both from this board and another board, have ALL told you the SAME thing! You aren't eating enough and you are overtraining, overdoing it on the cardio! How many people and how many times is it gonna take...
Sorry about that, it was taking SO LONG to post the reply that I stopped it several times to try it again and that's what happened. Darn it! It's been taking like 10 minutes just to post one reply! Grrrrr!
Can't see the pic very well (too small) and although I've actually never competed, when I see a bodybuilder with stats of 5'9" and only 115 lbs, first thing that comes to my mind is "way too thin".
I am a natural bodybuilder (as in never in my life used AS) and you said you wanted a comparison...
Yep, I agree. I've noticed the same since being in this sport. I am a perfect example. I was absolutely SHOCKED and dismayed the first time I ever got my bodyfat checked. Cause I had decent abs, the 3 vertical lines, solid everywhere, but yet I was at 22% bodyfat!!! So I was thinking, "how...
Oh geez, yep, there's no doubt about it, I've definitely got lordosis! I finally found some info and even a good picture on it after digging around on the internet a bit. THANK YOU MS for bringing it up!! Now at least I finally know why my butt and my lower abdomen sticks out!!! Thanks MS...
Wow, great thread!
I'm still trying to figure this out though. I've got a similar problem to woof, I've got the protruding area below my belly button as well, same thing, you'd think I was a few months pregnant, it sucks! I've got a six pack when I flex but below my belly button it sticks...
Just adding my 2 cents here. I think that genetics accounts for at least 75% of both at what bodyfat level is comfortable to maintain AND what kind of definition you get at a certain bodyfat level. It also has to do with how much muscle you have in the FIRST place, determined by both training...
I put on about 12 lbs of LBM my first year of lifting. I went from 132 lbs at about 22% bodyfat to 140 lbs at 18% bodyfat. Since then I have only put on another 3 lbs of LBM (training for 3 years now) altho I haven't actually been TRYING to put on more. I've been eating mainly to cut or...
